And absolutely horrid play calling! No imagination what so ever. Everyone in the stadium and watching the game knew what was coming 95% of the time.
And this is why I had no idea why they kept putting Love in.100% agree. Why are we not going for it on 4th and 1 or 4th and 2? They literally could not stop McCray.
he isnt getting it done.I'm 'Peter'ed out.
And against offenses that, statistically, should have put up a lot more points than they did. That’s made these games tolerable to watch, even if the end result is the same.As we rightfully crap on some coaching decisions.
The defense has been absolutely fantastic the last two weeks and deserves heaps of praise for keeping us in games.
At least the offense didn't go backwards 30 yards this time. How do they continue to parade Peters out there?
The play calling once again is very questionable.
That last set of downs was just bad.
After watching Peters all game, I'm for giving Art another try. There's a reason Peters couldnt Qb at Michigan. The defense is improving, but we need to go with Art and not Peters. No clue why Peters can’t get the ball out quickly or make better decisions, but he needs to sit.
McCray appears to get gassed, but on the 4th down play we had a time out so no excuse. And this is why I had no idea why they kept putting Love in.
Fair, but Love was not the answer today. He couldn't keep up after contact. Norwood seemed to be a better choice todayMcCray is a beast, but he gets winded. One thing I think the coaches did right was to try to spell him at the beginning of the 2nd half, and he got his mojo back. Took himself out a few times when we needed him, but it takes a lot out of a freshman (or anyone) to carry most of the defense 5 yeard after contact on 3rd and 1.
I don't mind putting Love in, but they are calling the exact same plays for Love when he is a different type of runner. He needs to get the ball out on the edge, not stuff it up the middle with him.And this is why I had no idea why they kept putting Love in.
I think I agree... But it's so easy to pounce on that decision looking at how the next few minutes played outNo criticism of BB from me. He had the lead, he has the best punter in NCAA FBS, his opponent was playing their backup QB who looked scattered on prior possession, and his defense was playing well. Pinning Purdue deep, and expecting one more stop, was understandable to me. We all saw how it played out, but I’m not criticizing the punt decision there.
Agree, the losses when he was the starter were more due to defensive let downs not quarterback play. After watching Peters all game, I'm for giving Art another try. There's a reason Peters couldnt Qb at Michigan.
But you're at the opponent's 34 yard line! You absolutely have to go for it. Or kick the FG; McCourt easily has that legNo criticism of BB from me.
