I thought I would be going crazy changing back and forth between Illini and my other team Oregon State’s game. Not finding a lot of reason to get back to Illini game. Hey a pass interference call. Damn that Peters is good. Oh, and then a near pick 6 other way.

He really brings zero to the table other than missed reads. I know Art brings a lot of potential negatives but at least he can throw the ball. If you can't play Art, then play the freshman. Peters is almost impossible to watch. And I want to like the guy. He just makes it so... difficult.

Our Off-Line coach has said a number of times that he only practices pass blocking for about 5 minutes and at the end of practice. That should tell you something.

Illini pass blocking is so poor right now that it makes me unsure how much of the problem is BP. But, BP body language and demeanor makes me think he’d rather be somewhere else. He’s not leading the offense.

When Peters transferred to Illinois I was glad, fully backed him. He did some good things under difficult situation. Now he is not doing good things. May or may not be all his fault, but he is the QB in there and thus if the offense doesn't go changes have to be made. Coach is not going at this point, so saying Peters has to is a team decision. Not an anti Peters decision.

Pro tip: a worse QB won't be easier to watch.

And I cannot stand watching BP make the same mistakes play after play after play. Agonizing.

Off-topic but I just tuned in. I really disliked the blue-on blue home unis in the 80s. These, however, look good. Maybe it's the particularly orange helmet, more orange than the ones in the '80s. Perhaps this belongs in the "Uniform" thread but I got nothing else concerning this game. :) I just hope we hang with them.

[EDIT: How is it possible that when I tuned in Wisc had 12 first downs in 18 mins and we had only one??!! Oh. Never mind.]

When you spell it out like that, maybe it is better to sacrifice Peters this game. Art wouldn't be faring any better (still think they need to run him out there) and there's no need to dump this steamer of a game on a young kid.
