Rutgers fan here. Congratulations on this incredible win. Your team dominated all their 4/5/star players in such a way no one thought was possible. Happiness is seeing arrogant Penn State getting its comeuppance.

Should be a good game next week.
Thinking that Rutgers would be favored if played on a neutral field. Therefore, speculating that the opening line will hover somewhere near a "toss-up".

Outstanding victory all around! (and so much for all the speculation that the players are gonna give up on Coach Bielema . )

Our running backs are legit and fun as heck to watch.

I also loved that we won AT Pedo State and ruined their cult members' weekend. Can't stand that fanbase.

How about Peters getting in there and making it happen. He’s done it before
If he throws the ball! Artur was a horrible part but at least he'd throw the ball... if Peter would just give his guys a chance if be happier with him... just don't hold the ball and take sacks. He did good on that play by giving his guy a chance even though he was open a while before he threw it... we definitely need a quarterback because the ones we have are not it! But we won even with that QB play! At least they had to honor our passing game because we kept testing them deep and our receivers kept getting behind them!

Still so jacked about winning yesterday.
Might just need to run the replay on loop.

I was thinking that before the game while also thinking "too bad there's no way we can beat PSU today" LOL
We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but the rest of the schedule are ALL winnable games. If we stick to what we do best (clearly, pounding the football on the ground), I would have us favored in all of those games, regardless of records. A bowl game is still possible.

Sorry if I'm repeating anything that others have but I just had to give my thoughts on all this...

Barnhart and O'Donnell were great to listen to on the radio today, especially as the overtimes kept going on and on.

And for some historical perspective, today is the first time Illinois has beaten a top 10 ranked team on the road as an unranked team since 1999 when they won at Michigan (in fact 22 years ago to the day). And yes there is a YouTube video of that game:

Thanks for the flashback... What a comeback in that game. I remember watching that by myself in the living room of my sophomore year off campus house. I also remember yelling at Harvey to get down so we could run the clock out instead of scoring that last TD, and also yelling at Turner to go for 2 on the extra point. We've been really good at trying to give away wins, but sometimes we do pull it out 🤷‍♂️

Illinois was unranked in 2007 the week they beat tOSU. They were ranked the next week, got as high as 13, and ended up 13 in the coaches poll, 20 in AP.

My cardiologist (an Illinois grad) suggested today I shouldn't watch any more Illinois football. Tough on the ticker (I love medical terminology), he said.

What does he know?

BIG football in 60 airs at 10 p.m. Can't wait.

Never too late for a lousy joke or a play on words, but I think my cardiologist's comment was heartless.

Go Illini! Goodnight, all.

Quite an enjoyable evening having the conversation starter being, “Did you see that Illinois beat Penn State?”

Boy did I, and let me tell you all about it!! Well, not you fine folks, you were already there.

If you glance at the roster, a lot of the defense that played today will return next season. Key seniors that will be leaving: Carney, Perry, Adams, Gay
Keeping Walters to build upon this success is imperative.
Wife and I ran errands after the game yesterday afternoon wearing Chief shirts. Multiple people stopped us and commented on the game. It's nice to have Illinois football be a random topic of conversation at Costco stores in Southern Colorado!
