Nothing against coach....here's hoping for a better season.

I think they have a sense of purpose. They’ll do aight. Just gotta play with confidence. So many new players to integrate.

Tomorrow’s game is 11 am? What is with a weekday morning game when school is in session? Wouldn’t it make more sense to play at 5 pm as a double-header with the men’s game? That would mean more exposure, at least in the second half.

Somewhere on the roster there is enough talent to compete in the B1G. Fahey’s challenge is to determine which combination meshes. There is a lot of roughness that needs to be smoothed over. Shooting is also going to be an issue, although a lot of the misses can hopefully be attributed to first game jitters. All in all, they should be much improved by the time league play starts.

Keep an eye on Hana Muhl, the little point guard out of Croatia. Her sister, Nika, plays the same position for UConn. Watching film of Hana reminds me a little bit of Dee Brown - fast, fearless take it to the hoop.

Not sure Hana Muhl is a "little" point guard, she is listed at 5'9" on at least one web site:

Also, where are we with Liisa Taponen, a 6'5" player out of Finland, who previously committed to Illinois.

Taponen signed her NLI (or whatever international players sign). Muhl might be 5'9" but she's built like my fifth grade granddaughter. Doesn't keep her from taking the ball to the hoop.

Pretty disappointed so far...would love to see them kick it into gear, but nothing indicates they will.

This is year 5 of the Fahey regime, and there has never been any indication that she is not in way over her head at the D1 level. One thing to recruit future doctors and engineers at a D3 school and another thing entirely to build a D1 program. Maybe they have a run in them the rest of this season but I'd be surprised if it happened.
