Especially after they trade White for a 4Imagine how good he can be at the end of the season at this rate of growth.

I admit I was a little disappointed they didn't say "From the University of Illinois" when he was announced before the game. But in his post-game interview he was asked about his defensive mindset and he said "I just try to use my instincts. Me being at Illinois for three years, the whole coaching staff they instilled in me playing defense. That's why I want to hold myself on being a two-way player, etc. etc." Love that he was able to work Illinois into his comments!I love it, but damn if I didn't wish they mentioned Illinois more. He's always been phenomenal, but even Ayo's said that Illinois is what got him ready for the NBA
I saw that and wondered just how often that happens with any rookie. Pretty amazing night when the bulls really needed him.Wow Ayo had 42 minutes - most on the team
I'll accept the trade for never introducing Derrick Rose as "from Memphis"I admit I was a little disappointed they didn't say "From the University of Illinois" when he was announced before the game.
Same. Disappointed, but I get it. He also shouts Illinois a lot as is so doesn't matter. He also adds more context of why he went with "From Chicago" here.I admit I was a little disappointed they didn't say "From the University of Illinois" when he was announced before the game.
Ayo definitely became my favorite illini in my fan lifetime which extends back to sergio and williams sr. Days only admittedly. What he may (still early) have done to turnaround this program for the long haul is immeasurable.
Kendall Gill and Will Purdue do all the time in the Post Game Show on Sports Chicago network.I love it, but damn if I didn't wish they mentioned Illinois more. He's always been phenomenal, but even Ayo's said that Illinois is what got him ready for the NBA
I remember one against Iowa in the BTT when AC stole the ball from jobo and threw it ahead to Ayo.He was not throwing it down with 2 hands last year. Dude has been working hard in the gym
I usually save the game on YouTube TV and then start watching the game around 9 pm. I fast forward the game, but watch Ayo's minutes. Last night I had to watch the whole freaking game, but loved it lol!!!I think I've watched one NBA game from start to finish in the last 15 years, and that was a replay of Kobe's 60+ point game or whatever which some network replayed after he died.
I may need to start keeping an eye on the Bulls schedule, though.
Cheer him on for all of us here at IL, please. Wear your Illini orange and yell, “-L-L!” I bet Ayo acknowledges you!Sitting behind bulls bench tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing Ayo triple double in person.
I haven't watched a full game since probably 2012 but I've been watching almost every game so far this season. This Bulls team is very fun to watch and Ayo playing just makes it that much better. I recommend dipping your toe back in the water some good matchups coming up!I think I've watched one NBA game from start to finish in the last 15 years, and that was a replay of Kobe's 60+ point game or whatever which some network replayed after he died.
