Vertigo is bad news, me and my wife both have had to deal with it. Sometimes just standing can make you dizzy. I can't imagine trying to play basketball when it hits. Hope Andre gets well soon.

Thanks just such a weird injury. You see concussions a lot in football and usually a week or two and the player is ok? My wife is a nurse practitioner and she also says it can take months to fully recover from a concussion. Just weird watching how it is unfolding.
What's even weirder is that, not only does it differ for each person and specific injury, but it also doesn't really seem to correlate with the severity of the initial injury. Even a minor bump to the head can result in persistent post-concussion symptoms while someone with a much larger initial injury can clear the protocol and be ready to go right away. It's a real roll of the dice.

If we beat Mizzou by 60, I don't even care what happens the rest of the season. That would make my year.

Okay, that's hyperbole, but not by much.
Someone said something similar at the beginning of football season, beat Nebraska, and I am good. Well, that didn't turn out great. Win the conference! Make the Final Four and win the Championship. Then I am good.

Solid win, but don’t get too jumpy on the younger guys experiencing the same success during the B1G season. It’s great they get the experience, but it’s only St Francis.

I was hoping more PT for Goode, Melendez, Hawk, BBV and Payne.

We need Belo back sooner than later. With vertigo, it’s definitely later.

Nearly all vertigo is not a neurological issue at all and rather is just a matter of an ENT doing a series of moves to get a dislodged crystal in your ears back into the right spot.
If it's related to the concussion (which seems likely), the Epley maneuver may not help. I get very bad vertigo once or twice a year (renders me basically useless for at least 48 hours, sometimes up to 4 days) and the white coats haven't figured out what it is yet.

I struggled with vertigo for years when I was a preacher. It was weird how I’d be just fine, but when I got in certain stressful situations it was like the world went liquid. Ended up preaching from a chair most of the time. I’m guessing it’s different for everyone, but it helps make sense of what’s been going on. I wish him the best, and hope, like mine, one day it’s just gone.

1. You don't understand how much I hate Mizzou, clearly.
2. You may have missed the second line of my post.
Having a daughter who is a Mizzou alum, I am a tad more familiar than most with the attitudes and practices of their athletic dept. Time hating Mizzou is wasted.....they simply cannot be held responsible for their ineptitude. My advice...move on and enjoy life.

Now....Michigan is another story altogether.

This is the case for Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) which I have had. A result of crystals in your inner ear getting out of position and confusing your inner ear balance system. The Epley maneuver will often put the crystals back where they belong and cure the vertigo. However, I am not sure that a concussion would cause BPPV.

Would seem to me that there is more opportunity for Podz to get more mins that either RJ or Goode but they look to be more ready. Goode puts up very good nos in a quiet way and is just solid. RJ makes more mistakes but has very impressive flashes. With Hutch and Belo out, the depth at guard has gone away.
BBV is going to get mins but they really need to be at the four but maybe will combine with Hawk when resting Kofi. Omar needs to make a huge leap to get any significant time. PG and Center just don’t show any depth at this point. Two thru four have lots of solid options with Alph, DMW, Grandison, Hawk, Goode, RJ and BBV.

Omar doesn't need to play more than 8 to 10 minutes a game if Kofi can stay out of foul trouble which he seems to to very well. However once we get into B10 play we will need Omar. Not so much to score more than dunks and putbacks but he has a presence inside others dont. We will need Omar against good teams that have more skilled big men.
