I'm hearing Fears has moved on to MSU/UConn and that we're "almost certain" to land Boswell

The only thing I have so far is a strong family connection between the Boswells and Brett Melton, former Mahomet HS star and UI hoops alum who played for Self right after 2000. He's the one who connected Kylan and Trent Meacham when he was a kid and "apparently" is a major influencer in his life. From what I can gather Melton was just at UI on Saturday night for the reunion and seems strongly connected to the program, Whitman, etc.

The OTHER thing that I gathered from heading down this rabbit hole is that Melton has some kind of connection to 2023 3 star 6'9" Forward Jacob Bannarbie, who by all accounts is a rising star, and then I noticed that Brad follows this kid on Twitter. If he gets an offer, you heard it here first

I imagine that depends if you are a beggar (1st 2 years of Underwood’s tenure) or a chooser ( last year)?
Of course. Program strength is a huge factor, along with player's status, on who gets to dictate the terms.

Re: guaranteed starting/playing time, I do get the impression that may have been part of the deal when Ace committed based on BU’s statement when he transferred. Along with the “we wish him well” I’m pretty sure BU explicitly said Ace started every game as a freshman on a team that earned a no. 1 seed. Sort of “we lived up to our end of the bargain” language.

Hopefully we aren’t in that position again for awhile and it doesn’t look like we will be.

Insider Alert!

Now, if you could just go ahead and remember to put a cover page on your Insider Reports. That would be great. Mmmmmk? Thanks!

One year of Plummer or up to four years of Miller? Same answer?
Hmmm...I think so...Plummer has been an excellent bridge. Miller probably would have been a beast defensively after time with this staff but that's not what he was looking for. I dont know if Adam would have ever become a microwave like Plummer is both in finishing at the rim and making contested shots.

But phrasing the question in that manner did provoke some extra thought. I think I'll still stick with Plummer though as he's provided a huge offensive spark that this team really needed and he'll clear a scholarship after this season to bring in more new blood.

And while I can't put a finger on it there was always something about Adam that kind of bugged me. I was a bit surprised but not particularly upset when he entered the portal.
