You're optimistic and I dig that about you, but I think the Illini might have a difficult season next year. I hope I'm wrong but I'm looking at 3-4 wins. We are losing a lot of experience and moving in a lot of young guys.
Sadly feel the same way. As much as I'm excited for BB and staff I don't see much improvement in our record next year

We all knew it was going to be a rebuild year especially with the difficult schedule. I still think we can pull off a few surprise wins if the offensive line is able to gel quickly. I'm excited for some of the new faces to come in and win immediate playing time, especially at receiver.

TA6 is entering his name in the draft.

Yeah it remains a bit tough to predict when we don’t yet have a bunch of players who will be critical for us next year.

Still, you can really improve yourself in the portal, especially this offseason, but the one position you’d like to not have to rely on that method for is offensive line, but that’s what we’re going to have to do.

I'm really surprised we haven't seen more transfer announcements from Illinois' roster. There are a lot of scholarships that are being claimed by current players that were also promised to incoming recruits. Maybe we'll see a one-day mass exodus like the fall?

Does hiring an agent foreclose coming back in the NIL era?

Nothing is absolute in college athletics/NCAA but nothing has changed coaching staff wise for Tolson and I'm assuming his decision to hire an agent exhibits the certainty in his decision.

Different situations but look at what Kofi did. He was pretty much 100% in the draft last year. Sure he got suspended 3 games but fact is if you want to come back, you will have the ability to, thoughperhaps with minor consequences.

Kofi got suspended because he sold his Illinois gear, not because he entered the draft.
