Rebound the ball. We had 20 shots that half and they had 32. Our defense has been solid except for the defensive rebounding . Bottom line we are up 4 with the ball but feels like we are down 20. Gotta play better on national tv.

Well for sure with their ball pressure when Trent is not in Podz has to be in Williams just can’t handle the point with that much pressure. We probably assumed we would see man defense with Dickheadson on the court and we are getting a 2-3. Need to run our zone offense to get Kofi touches. Post Hawkins at the top of the key and he should have a pass to the wing or high low to Kofi on the block. I expect the effort to be better in the 2nd half but will our offensive execution?

That successful recruitment rescued me from clinical depression after we lost Reggie Bass.
I'm not panicked, I'm disappointed. This isn't some random weeknight game vs Northwestern. To come out and give that effort.... disappointing is the right word. Felt the same way in the first half vs Nebraska, ditto vs Maryland.
Pouring another glass of bourbon for the 2nd half. I have faith that we win, but I'd like to go to bed with the pretty girl and not the ugly one.
I have little problem with Illini play other than poor shooting and turnovers. Mi. has athletes and can and are defending very well which makes for poor game tempo. But they should pay the piper in the last 10 minutes. Avg. shooting and the Illini are up 12-15 pts.

For anyone thinking refs don't impact and influence a game , I give you exhibit 1 in that first half we just witnessed......scUM players on D have their hands all over us and nothing called...........At least 5 move illegal screens should have been called on scUM.........we are playing to loose on D and we will be in touble if Trent gets in foul trouble ....DMW is not good handling the PG position.....
Kofi needs to touch the ball on offense every time ddown the court.....We have 26 points and he has 12 of them....pound it down to him and the backcourt will will open up.............Kinda reminds me of the game when kofi went out with foul trouble and the O just stunk........
The problem is so many uncharacteristic BAD passes and TO's compared to the past 6-7 games.....
We have 20 minutes left to expose scUM's problem area and that is short roster and get them in serious foul trouble.......
I'm seeing more trouble ahead with Larry S. and Kelly P. on the court blowing their whistles .......... But , we will eventually win by double digits and survive to fight again Monday in the matinee against purdont.........
Lets go Illini and keep our B1G record unblemished.......................
