Yes , sports fans .....my grumpiness has evaporated with the big Illini win and some herbal enjoyment.............Time for supper....I'm having..............

Oscar Mayer Angus Hot Dogs on bun's w/ miracle whip , mustard , diced onions and relish\
Onion Rings
Tater Salad
Baked Beans
Sweet Lemonade
NL # 3 for dessert.....

To the victor's belong the spoils and I'm gonna get spoiled .......I really really am....................

I continue to be intrigued by Pruman’s life and dessert options.

Getting Belo back would help most of all. Trent is really being asked to do too much. Primary ball handler, defending best opposing player, and scoring.
This is why the freshman need minutes every game. I am not saying that they should start or we should bench a starter, but all or one of them might just provide a spark to our offense which has gone stagnant since the Purdue game. I hope BU continues to rotate them in all of our future games. This will make us a better team.

The pass from R J to Podz cutting along the baseline for a bucket was a thing of beauty to me .........It portends for more exciting Illini highlights in our present and future....I'm not worried about who is leaving after this year at all.....I'm glad for their accomplishments while being an Illini , but with what we have coming back next season and the infusion of 3 talented frosh coming in and the hints from respected posters here about high impact transfer's , we will be just fine for the forseeable future ....

i watch a lot of other conference BB games and I am truly amazed at how completely awful B1G refs are ........I mean it's time for the coaches and media to start asking questions of the league office on why they employ such inept officials..............This has been such a hot topic for me and i know , based on other posters posts that you see the same thing i see.......

The foul on Young against Trent was a shooting foul....How anyone could see that different just amazes me...........Does anybody recognize any of the 3 refs today ?......I can't, for the life of me , remember any of our games being reffed by those clowns....................I'm surprised Kofi didn't get a T on that phantom foul called on him against the Buie drive ....he NEVER TOUCHED HIM.....no contact at all...................

time to settle down and watch the rest of the Blues hockey game for me........

1st place in the B1G.............................feels good..............it really really does.......................
Another bad one was the foul called on Hawkins when he blocked the 3 point shot of Nance in the first half.

When you see the glimpses of our future length and athleticism....and you combine that with the defense that BU demands....our team will be an absolute nightmare to play every night. Even when the shots don't fall and the refs are clueless.

I agree ke-mo-sabe..........The more you listen to BU about the nurturing atmosphere and culture instilled in the program , the more one should feel so unabashedly excited about the rise of the stature of the Illini program .........it pains me to think about the last few years of Weberball and Groce's time here and I am relishing every aspect of this profoundly tough and prideful squad...........it really really does lift my spirits when the trials of life start to wear on the nerves and I get so excited to be able to watch the illini win games in whatever fashion they do..........

1st place in the B1G BABY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think what we saw from Arizona this year is essentially what BU wants. 5 players with length, 4ish of them that are legit threats to score from anywhere and all playing hard defense.

But I guess this is a silly post. Any coach would love that.

Agree with this. Only downer for me, is Coleman Hawkins seeming to slip further and further down the bench….
I'm with you. I badly want to see Hawkins break out. The little shove shot he made in the lane is exactly what I've been begging to the TV for him to do. Get a step, stop, rise up, shoot. Should be good for 2 or 3 easy baskets a game.

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern this season has a way of forcing better teams into ugly, close games. But the Wildcats this season have a way of losing them.

It happened again Saturday.

No. 24 Illinois went on a 13-2 run until a late Boo Buie 3-point to overcome a late five-point deficit and defeat Northwestern 59-56 at Welsh-Ryan Arena. The Illini (15-5, 8-2 Big Ten) have now won seven straight over the Wildcats, while Northwestern (9-10, 2-8 Big Ten) has now lost eight of its last nine games, seven by eight or fewer points.

Not really, it's just highlighting what BU has essentially been saying since he arrived. It's always worth noting, especially when it's starting to show on the floor.
Every game we see it is one less Tums required for after Trent, Kofi, and DMFW depart.
