Perhaps a large percent of the lower turnstyle numbers were due to fans being taped together, resulting in skewed numbers?

On a side note, I loved when Gard was asked how they determined when to double Kofi versus the guards sticking to our three point shooters….he basically said “well, it’s a tough decision to make, but I don’t want to give away too many of our secrets”.

Pssst, Coach…..clearly you had ZERO secrete sauce in your preparation to handle the King. Whatever “secrets” you give away have pretty much by now been determined to be ineffective and/or impossible.

King Kofi for NPOY!!!!!

It was a good performance, but most definitely not a 10 out of 10, which is a good thing for us. We can be better.

Note the free throw shooting. That can't happen. That will lose games.

Wisconsin really hurt us on the offensive glass in the first half.

Frazier and Plummer, offensively, need to find their game.

Kofi carried us. They had no answers.

They were abysmal from three, which we can partly attribute to our defense, partly to do to just having a bad night.

Kofi 10 out of 10
Rest of team 8 out of 10
Fair enough. What I meant was Results were a 10

Brad looked radiant in his post-game. Thrilled with how they played overall and the atmosphere. So many superlatives to rout Wiscy down the stretch. Kofi being super-human/unstoppable, Trent being Trent, DMFW, and a lot of little contributions all over the place by guys who maybe didn't stand out on the stat sheet. SEVEN TOs for the game, and one of those was an intentional shot clock violation in the last minute of play Defense was there, and there were some beautiful assists. Refs were good too. There were things to nitpick of course, and missing FTs is normally a concern, but it all looks golden when it's comfortable down the stretch.

Happy for everyone. Tough break for Wiscy, to get only the road game and run into Kofi like that.

I know BU didn't use the bench much because the starters were doing their thing, but I really liked RJ's energy and time on the court. I think his athleticism was great on a guy like Davis and was able to impact the game in his time on the floor. I like how the kid took it between 2-3 defenders to the basket and while it didn't go down, it was close to going in. Could be a nice piece years to come.

Yeah, I was looking for more RJ tick last night, but it was hard to argue with Brad’s moves last night.

Nice to see Grandison scoring again.
We need him
Definitely. If not for his offense in first half he might have spent more time on bench as I wasn’t impressed with his D and rebounding. Really picked it up in second half as did others. I’d suggest it was some nice adjustments by BU that helped in that area, but we all know he doesn’t make any.

It seemed to me that Kofi's moves to the basket were even stronger than usual tonight. I wondered if it had to do with him hearing a lot about Davis being the leader for the POY leading up to tonight. Kofi always plays strong but tonight I thought throughout the game he went to the basket so strong it was at an even more elite level. He was not going to be stopped. Anyone else notice this?
I think it had more to do with where he was getting the ball and the inability of WI’s centers in slowing him down rather than wanting to outperform Davis. WI hasn’t been know for its center play this year (I think Purdue centers went about a combined 35 and 15 against them and fouled WI’s two centers out) and we saw why first hand.

I saw that attendance figure too. Is that for real? If so, it's amazing and a tribute to this program that BU keeps developing.
I think I saw on Twitter that actual turnstile count was like 7,800.

Oops see this was already addressed.

He doesn't need to slow down how he talks!!!! that's who he is brother, that's who he is as a person and that's wonderful. That's like telling me not to have a deep voice, use the words like freaking or Marine Corps terms because certain people don't like it!!!!!! that's who you are and he sounds wonderful I can't believe you said that. I think you can make millions off of it!
Just stop having a deep voice

Such high hopes and still do. Kid needs some confidence and morale boost. He sat on bench and didn't cheer or clap more than a couple times after his little PT in 1st half.

Not sure where things head from here, but could really use his size going forward if he could get it going, or fake it till he makes it.

Well, it was pretty cold outside, so your hunch makes a lot of sense.

I've never seen a Badgers team shoot that poorly from 3 point range.

Did find it interesting they mentioned on the broadcast that the Badgers are playing at the fastest tempo, for Wisky at least, in at least 20 years.

Agree. And when he made these comments, Gard was ironically wearing a shirt that said "This Game is No Secret."

Imagine telling us at the beginning of the season we'd have 7 turnovers against the 11th ranked team in the country. There was a time when only 7 turnovers in a half felt like a small victory. I mean, I think we all hoped we'd get to this point, but during that early-season stretch, it felt so very, very far away. The progress this team has made despite everything is remarkable.
