10-2 , first place in the B1G..................

I think we jump at least to #12 in the polls Monday.....i know it depends on other teams games but we are a top 10-12 team right now and getting better with a healthy squad......

Great result with many more misses (than normal) from Kofi and Belo on 2 pointers.

Agree with you. It has not been good, with the exception of Plummer, all year. Hopefully it doesn't cost us an important game later.
Even Plummer missing more than normal. Granted, normal for him is perfection

Now appearing in Tampa
He looks rusty a little bit. He had a couple really good looks at the rim that he normally finishes but just didn't go down. Should get better as he gets his legs and feel back.
The silver lining is that he will get better as he gets stronger AND we put a quality road beat down on a BIG with very little contribution from him.

Doug Altenberger just said basically that to coach on the radio. Really complimentary of teams fight.
Yeah. That just never happens in the BT. No way you walk into a road game against a top team like IU and win by nearly 20 after being down 2 at the half. I'm just gobsmacked by what the boys did in the second half. You could just see them break IU's will possession by possession in the final 10-12. It felt sadistic.

[EDIT - This is insane:

WOW. WOWOWOW!

Beating Indiana feels so good. I am laughing and relishing all the shade thrown at us in the past few days.

“Indiana is a different team at home!”
“Indiana is a dark horse conference contender”
“Assembly hall is so loud”

Didn’t feel so loud in there the 2nd half 😁😁😁

Also, Assembly Hall will be on full-blast for this one. It will have a big-game atmosphere.

It's been over three years since Illinois has played in Assembly Hall when there have been fans in the stands. Only Frazier and Williams were on the Illinois roster back then. That may add an interesting dynamic; it had a real effect on a veteran Purdue team.

We could be witnessing a very special season unfold before our eyes....................
Next up is a breaking down of the boilers in West Lafayette and throwing them on the trash heap..............

Grandison had a very tough start to the game, but Brad stuck with him. So happy to have Underwood coaching the Illini!

Grandison's two 3-pointers were obviously the big turning point in the game. Not only did they turn a 5-point deficit into a 1-point lead, but they came right on the heels of a dispiriting pair of air balls from Goode and Frazier.

The other incredible shot was Frazier's three after a clean pick of a hard one-hopper from Kofi!

Great team win in a hostile environment! Happy weekend, everyone!
