Too much Jaden Ivey and not nearly enough shots falling for us in the 2nd half. We had some clean looks. The ball just didn't go in. I guess we now know how Wisconsin felt against us.
Purdue is really, really good at basketball. It's painful to type but they completely took us to the woodshed in every facet of the game in the 2nd half. They were clearly the superior team tonight.

Purdue's weakness is against the press. We don't press and they are brutal to defend in the half court.
It always makes me smh when I see people post stuff like that and think that a team isn't that good anymore. We got beat by top 5 team on their homecourt in a game where we played mediocre and led at halftime. We aren't going to get beat like that by most teams.
Eh, kind of disagree. Not saying we can't surpass them by the end of the season, but it's not just a tonight thing. At this point in the season, Purdue is the better team.

I can live with the loss and I can even understand an off-night shooting the basketball, but I wish we would've responded a little better on defense in the second half. Too many mental lapses and a dip in intensity. Although, admittedly, I don't know how you stop Ivey.
I hope we play them again.

Trent,DMW and Jacob go 2 for 14 from three on good looks it's gonna be tough to win. Plummer kept us in it first half but no one else could step up in the second half. That's a tough place to play and win if you miss when you get good shots.
It kind of is. Tonight they were better, a month or so from now they might not be. I've seen it time and time again. Beating us tonight doesn't necessarily make them better than us down the road.

I actually don't feel that bad. Got a good old-fashioned butt-whoopin'. This was the toughest game on the schedule all year. Lick their wounds, get some much needed rest, and go beat Northwestern on Saturday.

Good observation. I was wondering why Purdue still had starters in when we cleared bench and had a walk on in.
