Don't be surprised to see Ty bringing the ball up the court...Underrated ball handler. Also big time transfer guard option on the table right now as well.
Maybe I wasn’t paying attention, but I wondered what position Ty was recruited at. He plays point right now in high school, or it looks like it in all the videos.

My money is on the 4. Likely our answer to guys like Mulcahey & Wahl. Once he's fully "Fletched" he's gonna be a beast.

I was on the Cohawk train early....lately not so much....he is not an excellent ball handler...upfakes almost every possession...reaches rather move his feet....also he honestly acts like he has never fouled anyone. Agree with a previous poster...he needs a go to move.
Except for the “on the Cohawk train early” part, you could be in my brain. He is a good ball handler for His Size, but like you I’ve not seen excellent ball handling from him. And the reaching and acting like he didn’t foul — every time — drives me nuts. I hope he keeps plugging away and things start to click for him, because he would give the Illini a piece they don’t have. And he has made some great plays — on D and offense — just not enough of them to makeup for his erratic play. Seems like a good kid and teammate, so I’m pulling for him. Just need to see more from him.

Rodgers will play at least 20 min a game next year. He’s that good, his body is college ready now, and we are losing players at his position (3/4).

Epps looks like a rich man’s Trent on offense. Also college ready body.

Harris reminds me of Luther Head. Also college ready body if he’s as wiry strong as people are saying.

How’s this for a starting 5:

Curbelo
Mystery 2 guard
Rodgers
Melendez
Kofi

Provided mystery 2 guard has some length, this team is a freaking problem for anyone. The athleticism and length at the 3/4 goes up exponentially. They would be a terror in transition, difficult to keep off the glass, have more one-on-one playmaking ability, and could switch a lot more on D.

I would see Rodgers as a 3 (assuming these numbers mean much, with all the cutting and screening). Let's just say he'll be a strong wing, blended with Luke and RJ. How is Dainja being fletched? I watched a lot of Dain highlights and it's hard not to be impressed. When he's not dunking, he's hitting jump shots. He looked very strong (considering he was still in h.s.)

Just switch Curbelo to Epps or Boswell.

It's a different era and he seems more skilled (as players tend to be these days) but I get Sergio McClain vibes when I watch his film.

Harris definitely has a "college ready" body. He's a strong guy.

I agree. He's a 3/4 with really good handles. The thing is, at this point, he hasn't shown scoring ability beyond mid-range (at best). So he's probably not going to be a true guard any time soon. But we'll list him as a Guard if he wants, since that seems to be our policy.

One of my favorite Self quotes - "We want three guys on the floor with point guard handles as often as possible."
You guys are not giving Harris or Epps enough credit, I'll just insert that here. That and I gather Podz has been mentioned enough to let that slide.

He’s going to do great things for us.

Coach BU mentioned his exquisite coffee is what is giving him the big smile. There seemed to be some code in that, like a hidden easter egg in a Marvel movie.

I'm not one to jump to conclusions, it just seemed a little odd and telegraphic.
