Game Thread: Illinois at Rutgers

We are 2-16 from three point land. I’m 68 with horrible arthritis. Would bet the house I could hit at least 3-16.
Hopefully more practices and games at full strength will get us to be more confident and assertive.
Why is Rutgers this good? We have the better players. Doesn’t make any sense.

Been a trend lately
This may be our worst effort of the season. Out worked, out rebounded, out shot.
We have looked poor since halftime of the Purdue game and we are finally paying the piper. Unfortunately, these are the losses you will look back on at the end of the season and think what if when it came to winning the BIG10.

It’s us lately
RU rebounding almost 50% of their misses on the offensive glass. I can forgive a lot in a tough road environment, but that’s not acceptable.
It's really tough to play hard and together when shots won't fall, but I'd expect a bit more than this out of an experienced team.
When good players don't make shots, they look ordinary. That's how we look now. Meanwhile everything Rutgers throws up is going in (harper putback, harper banked three etc)
No energy. No one’s boxing out. Not hitting shots. WTF is going on with these guys? Rutgers is a good team but we should be at least playing a game. They’ve completely punked us
May be a good game to get freshmen reps
I think this is easily the worst effort of the Underwood era. They most likely gave away a chance at the big ten tonight.
One team came to play, one team didn't. Guess which is which.
