Now there are going to be endless debates on sports channels (especially ESPN) on whether or not that constituted shaking his fist in the air or throwing a punch. Like Bobby Knight's I grabbed his chin momentarily vs choked the guy. Those in favor of choking, slow-mo the video. Those in favor of brief grabbing, speed it up.

interesting discussion on UM forums.. they think he's done
I am seeing the same thing from a large majority of UM fans on other socials. Many of them want him gone after this.

Watched it several times, not sure what was the initial emotional trigger, but Howard was initially verbal in the handshake line, then Gard got physical, a Wisc assistant got verbal and Howard then got physical with the asst. After that, a little mayhem.
Note that Howard slapped the side of the asst head with an open hand, NOT a fist, if that matters.
I saw a fist after the slap.

You table is ready @kevin Warren
Everyone will be watching to see how you handle this....
With Kevin Warren’s history I’m expecting a change in the rules that allows Michigan a handicap on wins that puts them in first place, scholarship reductions for Wisconsin, and all coaches in the conference with the exception of Howard required to attend sensitivity training

I liked this comment from there, "Gonna be tough to walk into recruits living rooms after that."

It doesn't

Basketball players and coaches are lousy fighters, usually more interested in being held back than actually mixing it.

All that SHOULD need to be seen his how is players responded ... they mirrored their coach's actions and class perfectly. Diabate got 3-4 punches in and looked to be doing it without an ounce of regret. It's pretty clear Juwan should not be leading young men anywhere, to anything, but we'll see if Michigan agrees...
Diabate at minimum should not play again this season.

Let’s at least be accurate. Watch the video. If that was a punch, Howard is the biggest pus*y I have ever seen. It was an open handed slap. If you have never been closed fist punched, you don’t know the diff.
Well he is pretty big

wow that is disappointing that chose to represent the BIG like that on National TV. There has to be some suspensions handed down at a minimum. Saw a couple players throwing too. Looked like 0 for UW threw a right at someone and some fists came back from UM. Something has to happen by BIG. Good luck sorting the f'ing mess out.
0 is Jacobi Neath - deep bench player.

I hear you but, really, WTF cares about analyzing the Zapruder video of this?! A BT head coach actively struck someone in a postgame handshake line.

If all their five stars stay and they bring in a good coach, they might win it all. Shades of 1989. Coach fired and all of a sudden the team plays to its talent level.
