In the B1G we’ve got:

Michigan @ Wisconsin
Rutgers @ Purdue

Would be really nice for Rutgers or (I apologize to the sports gods for saying this) Michigan to keep their hot streak going. Purdue and Wisconsin still play each other one more time, so it would be nice if one of them had already picked up the 5th L by then. Or both!

I get it, but I’m done wishing for Michigan to win. We play them one week from today. I hope they play miserably the next 2 (Wisconsin and Rutgers.) and have their tail between their legs when we come to town.

An enemy of my enemy is my friend. Webber, do your thing!

Alternatively, I find it fairly easy to root for Steve Pickel and the scarlet knights.

I think both wins are very possible.

I find it totally irrational not to root for these two teams TODAY. However, with regards to Rutgers, the old saying comes to mind: Be careful what you wish for.

Totally agree. I would much rather Purdue slip up today than Wisconsin, if it’s one or the other. For one, we won’t see Rutgers again in the regular season, so who cares if they want to stay white hot and win out? By contrast it’d be great for UM to still be struggling to find themselves when we visit. For two, Purdue’s a better team and I think they’ll be favorites against Wisconsin. And finally, Muck Fichigan, always.

I’m good rooting for Rutgers. I think PU will beat Wisky when they play so I have less incentive to pull for a Wisky loss right now.

I also think Rutgers will run out of steam soon.

It really does not matter who winds or does not. As long as we win the remaining 4 - that is all that matters

Having said that enjoy these games.

I love the simplicity of this spreadsheet. If you make this, then good on you.
Thanks. I've developed a habit, the past three seasons since we've been in the title chase, of assembling this in mid-February when the horses turn the corner and head for the wire, so I can enjoy the suspense day by day. ;)

Big day for the Illini to sit back and watch.

The more I look at this, the more I like how it’s shaping up. Not only are our games very winnable, but I see some trapdoors lying underfoot for Bucky & Purdon’t.

And you’re going to have to pry my orange-colored glasses off my dead, cold… um, nose? Ears?

Onward, Rutgers & Michigan! But, most importantly… Go, Illini!

It sickens me how many times I’ve been rooting for Michigan to win this season.

Even thought Rutgers kicked our a$$, I don’t mind seeing them win, especially today.

As the Turkish quasi-dictator Erdoğan was quoted ~ 15 years ago on the subject of the utility of democracy in the acquisition of complete power, rooting for Michigan is like riding a streetcar: when it has taken you to your destination and you no longer require it, you exit.
