I rather see Purdue lose than Rutgers win. I don’t root for other teams to win only for others to lose

In the B1G we’ve got:

Michigan @ Wisconsin
Rutgers @ Purdue

Would be really nice for Rutgers or (I apologize to the sports gods for saying this) Michigan to keep their hot streak going. Purdue and Wisconsin still play each other one more time, so it would be nice if one of them had already picked up the 5th L by then. Or both!
Mich wins today then badgers beat boilers. It’s ours for the taking.

What a great year in a great conference!
(y) Half the conference legitimately in the hunt for the title with 14 days remaining in the season. And our Illini in the driver's seat. Gotta love it.

I know they're both in the hunt, but neither Wisconsin or Michigan State is the best team in the conference. They'd better not win it.

Illinois - yes.
Purdue - sure.
Rutgers - five great starters, but nothing else

An enemy of my enemy is my friend. Webber, do your thing!

Alternatively, I find it fairly easy to root for Steve Pickel and the scarlet knights.

I think both wins are very possible.
I think Harper’s out, which would make it tough for Rutgers.

It really does not matter who winds or does not. As long as we win the remaining 4 - that is all that matters

Having said that enjoy these games.
And it is a long and winding road after all.

I hate Iowa, Indiana and scUM with a passion and for the rest of my days on Earth will never, ever, ever be able to root for them to win anything, even if their winning helps the Illini.

The rest of the BIG, sure.

Would give anything for the illini to get the same 3pt looks Mich gets. Mich shooting looks absolutely horrible.

Remember when we were a clear Bubble team at this point in the year and we were rooting for "good teams" that we beat or were about to play to do well so that we could have a desperate chance at a signature win? And our fans mostly just defaulted to cheering against teams they hated like Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, etc.?

MAN, it feels good to "have to" root for an unlikable Michigan team simply because the only thing on my mind is hoisting a Big Ten Championship banner in Champaign during our last home game vs. Iowa.

P.S. It's interesting to compare homecourt advantages to when I was first watching college basketball as a kid (2001 to 2006 ... great time to grow up as an Illini fan!). I feel like the intensity inside even the best venues fluctuates WAY more today than it did 20 years ago or so. I have seen games this year where the Kohl Center was indistinguishable from Iowa as far as the atmosphere goes, but it sounds/looks like a great atmosphere today. Similarly, the atmosphere inside SFC for the Arizona game was truly on par with the old days - loud every single play with the Krush bouncing up and down all game long - but there have been other games where it seems dead. Must just be one of those things as TV gets bigger and bigger.

Watching UM and Wisky. Boy I love the dribble, penetrate, and dish offense. Wish we could do more of that.

And I like Hunter Dickinson the more I see him. Almost plays like an oversized 4

I hope you mean you like his game, because I don't remember a Big Ten player since a certain turncoat who played for IU around 2008 that I personally dislike more, haha.

Davis has a lethal step back jumper in the paint. You almost need to double team him, or at least disrupt him with a quick on and off double

Providence 34:47 Butler with 11:50 to go. If Providence lose this we are very likely to jump them in rank.
