Yeah - I think the poster was more taking the “if he commits to arizona then he would rather be there and we need to move on and focus on those who do commit to play for us”. Maybe i read it wrong, but don’t think it was “I hope he doesn’t pick us” and more a “if he doesn’t pick us, gotta move on and not dwell on it”Sure but I'm guessing when you get to the point where you're picking between two schools you'd probably be happy at either, and are just figuring out which one is the best fit.
Also, didn't D-Will want to go to UNC and Georgia Tech over us, but they didn't work out? I for one am glad we took him anyway.
Which kinda feels like a “I want to commit” not a “I want to play at Illinois”.Fears was ready to commit. Illinois wanted to see more/evaluate more (especially outside shot)
Eh, in my experience this is posted every time we miss out on a recruit, and it translates to something like "you can't fire me, I quit!"Yeah - I think the poster was more taking the “if he commits to arizona then he would rather be there and we need to move on and focus on those who do commit to play for us”. I'm thinking you were totally alone in this thought. I don't remember exactly, but he was a top 50 (maybe higher?) big man. Even if there were some questions, and no one knew he'd be this good, he was definitely worth a scholly.I remember watching Kofi on some national broadcasts at Oak Hill. He was big, but not all that impressive (at least against the competition I saw him play against). He was out of shape and very slow up and down the court. I remember thinking, "why did we give him a ride."
At U of I, he has really improved, and his physical conditioning/transformation should impress any big recruit!!! Kudos to Fletch and the coaching staff. Go Kofi!
well… it was fun while it lasted

Adding some fuel to the fire lol
We are going to be just fine everyoneAt the point in our program where these misses don't hurt as much. We will have a great team again next year don't worry. Help is coming and so will a couple of transfers
So where are you from?People are surprised Boswell may not want to “come home.” It’s not surprising to me at all. I moved from southern IL when I was about 10. When someone asks me where I’m from it’s not southern IL.
His family and friends are on the west coast. While I understand he has some family here and possibly some old friends. His main support system of mom and dad are on the west coast.
Id also be willing to bet he has stronger bonds with his friends he’s made in high school compared to grade school.
I get he’s from this area, but this probably isn’t what he considers “home” anymore.
