Trying to put the refs aside for a second, there's a lot that our guys did to hurt themselves. It's too easy to pawn this off on the refs, though they didn't help

Plummer 8 of 10 from three. Rest of the roster 4 of 15. This has been a theme.

Kofi, despite the fouls, left probably 8 points on the court(at minimum) in the first half alone. He was 4 of 12 and I'd say that 6 of those 8 misses were bunnies. That's been a three year issue.

11 of 17 from the line, which doesn't look include front end misses. Those are like turnovers.

Kofi's goaltend and DMW with his elbow....again. They gave away four points on those two plays alone.

Let up 50 second half points

So, while I understand the frustration, these issues aren't new to this team. They deserve the credit for a great comeback, but they shot themselves in the foot enough to have to wear the loss.

Would have liked to see someone just shoot the 3 for the win instead of what Trent did, despite the fact that he was fouled.
Driving and hoping to draw the foul on what could be a 3 point play is absolutely the right basketball call in that situation. It's typically one of three results:

1. You get the layup and take it to OT.
2. You get a chance to take it to OT with free throws.
3. You win on an old-fashioned 3-point play.

We unfortunately drew the little seen option four: get hacked and no called on our own court.

Update or summary please.
was fighting for Kofi with the Techs, Hawkins was outstanding and feels very encouraged by his play tonight, didn't follow scouting report on a lot of guys including young who goes right almost every time. kofi missed lot of bunnies but that won't happen every night. feels excited we found new ways we can play tonight with full court press etc.

Now granted we did not come out strong in the 2nd half. However, if this game is called even remotely equal we would have won - or at least been in OT. How the refs could have made some of the bullpoo calls they did and then ignore the fact that Trent got bodied on that drive is just ridiculous.

Ohio State always seems to bring their A game against us.

Someone from their team always goes off against us.

Today was Branham and Young.

We need to start playing with urgency and win the last 3

He was the best of the 3 tonight, sadly
The hell he was......................The black ref was the only one calling it fair .......d j bald head ref is the worst ref since they started giving people whistles to ref.........the short FAT white ref was equally as bad ....

Kyle Young flopped on the last Kofi foul call
Kofi probably needs to go to Carle Clinic and get xrays

BU saying on radio interview that Trent got hit on the last play
BU said he will go home and get chewed out by the missus
BU is excited about a new way to play ....Kofi not gonna miss 12 layups.....when we get certain refs kofi isn't getting any calls

He didn't pull any punches about how terrible the refs are
Said something about he kinda knows when he finds out who's reffing if we are going to get a fair shake .........I'm close to what he said but he was talking fast

I am anxiously awaiting the regular post game presser......I just wish he would speak his mind , take the fine and let Josh pay it for him

Wow, the replay posted on the main page of EJ knocking Trent to the side on the last play. It doesn't matter if your vertical, you can't have your body knock another guys body completely off course.

Brutal game for DME- he did not make “winning plays” , the elbow he threw was ridiculous and a momentum killer you can’t have that from a 5th year senior - he got 2 rebounds all game and couldn’t stop anyone on defense- his stupid foul in the last minute when the guy had picked up his dribble in the corner 90 feet from the basket was boneheaded as well

Thats two games in a row I believe that we have given up 50 or more in the second half. Soft on defense.

The OSU flops were pathetic.
And they got the call each time.
It's... really frustrating. REALLY frustrating to see other crews take so much liberty with the flop warnings and then WHAT THE F*%&! in this game. I pity the coaches that need to try to game plan for referees and spend valuable time coaching guys to make extreme adjustments.

Did we stop playing or something? Kofi was hammering his way through getting the s*** slapped out of him. We missed some shots and had some lapses, as all teams do. Its also hard to get stops when the other team is in dbl bonus with 9 mins to go while the same crap isnt being called the other way. Of course defense will be a tad less aggressive

Team fought to the end, had some bad moments

OSU simply hit tough shots at the end. Russell hitting a three right in plummers face and EJ hitting a turnaround jumper were two back breaking shots

One of the positive things tonight was Cohawks play. We also found out he is a viable option at the 5. Especially when Payne can't stop fouling every 45 seconds and basically standing around looking lost.
I'm almost ready for Payne to just sit down unless there is an injury or we are in serious foul trouble and I'm not talking about just Kofi. He just brings very little to the table. His offensive game outside of coach the lob is pretty much non-existent, he takes too many gambles to block every shot, and he usual has at least one boneheaded foul or turnover when he is in. I would like to see more Hawkins at the 5 when Kofi is out.

He played with a lot of heart tonight, but still makes stupid fouls that really hurt us. Once he starts to mature from that standpoint he will be a dependable player.
