Franz Wagner MI 15 ppg 5 rbg Magic (15-35)
Luka Garza IA 5 ppg 3 rbg Pistons
Joe Wieskamp IA 2 ppg Spurs
Aaron Wiggins MD 7 ppg Thunder
Given how boad MI is this year maybe Wagner was good
Still don't think he's good. It's a lot easier to get stats on a losing team (wagner) than a winning team (ayo)Franz Wagner MI 15 ppg 5 rbg Magic (15-35)

OP didn't compare him to Ayo though. He compared him to Garza, Wieskamp and Wiggins, all of whom are also on losing teams, and still having significantly less impact than Wagner.Still don't think he's good. It's a lot easier to get stats on a losing team (wagner) than a winning team (ayo)
Fine, but Wagner was drafted #8 pick and the other 3 were either 2nd round or undrafted(IIRC). (Without checking) I'm sure Wagner's mpg are much higher than the rest of the list provided.OP didn't compare him to Ayo though. Right now: Wagner > Ayo, but there's no doubt Ayo is maybe the best overall pick in terms of value.Fine, but Wagner was drafted #8 pick and the other 3 were either 2nd round or undrafted(IIRC). (Without checking) I'm sure Wagner's mpg are much higher than the rest of the list provided.
I compared Ayo because I would bet he has a more similar mpg.
Think it depends on how you look at it. Ayo has a significantly higher eFG%Right now: Wagner > Ayo, but there's no doubt Ayo is maybe the best overall pick in terms of value.
Wagner was draft 8th so he was a mid lottery pick. Ayo was drafted mid 2nd round 38th.
Right now IMO they are of equal trade value so Ayo has made up a lot of ground.
Kofi is going to be a steal for somebody late 2nd round. He is improving rapidly. Once he can hit the 15 footer and and pass better he will be very valuable. He is already a monster in the paint. Rebounding is still important in the NBA. Think Shaq or Sean Kemp. He just needs to keep improving.
The interesting thing to me is that one represents NBA scouting at it's best (Wagner) the other at it's worst (Ayo). I was as skeptical of Wagner as anyone on here, but I'll freely admit the scouts were right on that one. They really did miss on Ayo though.Think it depends on how you look at it.
