They really need Stefanovic to play (shoot) well. He didn’t today. Reminds me of us. When the shots are falling they and we can look mighty impressive.

Purdue is SOOOO fricking tough. If Iowa can beat them, it bodes well for Iowa and Illinois, 0-4 before this against them collectively before the championship game.

I don't necessarily disagree. Typically the teams to win are 1 and 2 seeds. Winning a conference tourney unexpectedly doesn't raise a team to a 2-seed. I do think the teams that come out of nowhere to go really far are either really good mid-majors or teams that got hot in the conference tourney. I'm sure you can find plenty of examples to support or contradict that proposition.

Iowa has now won 13 of 15 games, beating everyone at least once but Illinois.

A year after a Big Ten that was far and away the best conference during the season, and then had a fluke terrible NCAA tournament, I wouldn't be surprised to see the conference outperform their seeding this year.

Wasn’t there recently another team that had a great season-end streak, won the BIG tournament … and then flamed out in the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney? Can’t quite remember what school that was; can you fellas help me out?
