Wish the best to Curbelo, whether here or elsewhere. I scrolled through the IllinoisLoyalty timeline on twitter looking for his pass to Hawkins during the BTT that was just 🤯. He sometimes tried to do too much, other times the ball just didn't go in. I, for one, blame the concussion/ COVID, just felt like he never really got into game form this season. Best of luck to the kid and hope his health, both mental and physical, are okay in the long run. He can be a magician on the court.

70….if it was just TSJ and Clark….95
We probably sounds appealing to Clark if he is going to have the ball in his hand and Kofi coming back. Louiville can tell him the same but we are more established.

AP is a type of dual credit, but there are other types that have become very popular in the last decade.

Many dual credits now come through a local community college. In this case dual credit courses are taught by a high school teacher during the school day through these local community colleges. Some universities (SLU and EIU for example) also do this. Most of these high school teachers need to have a Masters degree in the area of instruction.

Another type of dual credit is that some high schools allow their students to physically attend a community college during the school day. These are also considered dual credit.

A dual credit earned by a student counts for both high school and college credit. When a student graduates from high school and is accepted at a college/university the institution determine if the credits will be allowed to transfer. UofI has accepted everyone of my kids dual credits. They have come from EIU, SLU, Lincoln Land CC and Lake Land CC. I hope that makes sense.
Thanks. Showing my age! I think I had six credits going into UIUC. All AP.

If Skyy Clark is the primary ball handler next season, Illinois will have a tough year. Hope for a Curbelo return/transfer guard because Skyy is not the player his 5 star rating might suggest.

Seems very out of the blue. What are you basing this on?

Lol listen dawg, you can be as plugged in as you want and still be off with talent evaluation. Seriously, Skyy would have settled down to the 50-100 range in the rankings if not for being committed to UK for years. The recruiting rankings sites love ranking guys heading to Duke/UK way higher than they should be.

Interesting 2/3 of your first posts here were negative towards an 18 year old with all the talent in the world. Interesting

Not trying to give you a hard time, but are you saying he was a five star because he committed to UK, or are there certain flaws in his game that you have observed? I'm very curious.

Watching him since he was a freshman in high school. His best skill seemed to be his ball handling and ability to get by his primary defender. Never been a great shooter but isn’t necessarily a bad one either. Post injury though he has seemed to gain a lot of weight and as a result lost the step he used to have getting by guys. He has good vision and should be able to develop into a good college guard. But as of day 1, he is not a guy you want running the show.
