I think that Kofi adding a 3 point shot as a possibility would be a game changer. Its hard to justify as a coach to have your 7 foot dominant post player do that...but it would be personally beneficial to him. And perhaps if we have some additional size out on the floor we can get a larger share of offensive boards even if Kofi is shooting a few 3s a game(or hell...maybe he'll just make them all?). That being said I have yelled at my tv about how stupid Hunter D is when he gets carried away shooting them instead of going inside for Michigan...and I love seeing those guys fail.

I think the best comp for Kofi in the league is probably Udoka Azukuike...but he's behind Gobert and the guy keeps getting hurt so its hard to tell what kind of impact he could have. When he has played, though, he's done pretty well. Kofi needs to commit to improving his outside shooting or his rim protection and then he will have a good NBA career.

Kofi spent to much time setting high screen and was out of position for offensive rebounds this year.

Kofi is not going to play in the NBA. Watch the NBA, nobody has a 7 foot center that cannot shoot 3's. He may as well get his NLI money and return for another year.
There are tons of non-shooting bigs in the league these days. Pretty much every team has at least one, if not more. Difference is they tend to be vertical spacers if they can’t shoot (ie, lob threats) or good passers (think Mason Plumler). Kofi, unfortunately, isn’t good at either of those and doesn’t have another elite, in-demand skill to hang his hate on (his best is the post-up and nobody wants that alone anymore).

Agreed. If he were to add a 3 to his game, his prospects would grow tremendously.

Why would't you want 3 or4 guys on the court like that? It gives you so many options offensively and defensively, Brad would like to be able to switch everything defensively like Baylor and Houston.
This would be huge!

Unfortunately, Kofi has limitations for the pro game, or at least the NBA. Hopefully, he can get to a place where he can improve his skill set for the next level if he decides to put his name back into the draft. Kofi is a great warrior and if he decides to stay, we will welcome him.

Is this related to BELO announcing his intentions to transfer and the dominois falling into place that decision will create??

Is it just me that thinks that RJ Melendez is similar to TSJ? Same size, athletic, can shoot… don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I don’t want TSJ, I’d be more than happy to get him
I know it's hard, but try to imagine having multiple, tall, long, athletic wings who can shoot and drive.

I know, I am pretty excited, too.

Can still do flight tracking for coaches on the recruiting trail ;)
I'm genuinely interested in how often and how many miles (and hours spent) they spend traveling for recruitment

This recruiting thread will need some seriously good news in a hurry now that Belo is officially gone, daddy gone. :) C'mon, TSJ! Let's do this. Mystery transfer PG, we need you, too. Skyy, your table is ready.

Who else we got? Haha!

Kofi coming back makes everyone else better. I think its a long shot but I was not expecting him to return last year.

He can improve his NBA draft stock in lot of ways
-- Quick outlet pass to trigger the fast break
-- Feeding open shooters when he gets doubled
-- Taking the open mid range jumper if not guarded
-- improve free throw shooting
I don't think I fi is NBA ready but hopefully if he stays and can improve his shot and lateral mobility he can be. With the NIL and the money that comes with it then why not stay unless you think he can stick in the league. I expect Kofi to stay because he can likely make the same ormore here than in the G league and have more fun doing it
