lmao, you offer me 3 RJs to play with the PG and Kofi i take it in a heartbeat
As long as RJ bulks up. He has to get stronger to improve on D and the boards but yes I like that idea. Plus I love Goode and how he plays, hustles and doesn't seem to have many brain farts on the court! Those drove me nuts this past season by some of the experienced guys and those leaving.

What’s more likely

Kofi leaves to go pro this year or Kofi stays for the next 2 years?
If he stays for two years, he will set untouchable career numbers here. I don't see -that- happening, but boy would it be fun. We've already gotten to see two more seasons of him than I expected.

Right. I think Goode and RJ complement each other well though.

I would say neither. Think Kofi stays this year and is gone then
Unless he can mproves on his shooting and lateral D then why not stay two? I don't know what he made this year in NIL but I expect it will go up exponentially if he stays. If he can be a first rounder then sure go. But if he can't and can make $$$$$ in college then why go? I hope he can do what it takes to be a first rounder but that may take more than a year if it's possible at all. If someone can make a million bucks in college then why not Kofi as a 3 or 4 time All American .

A super small ball line up with TSJ RJ Ty Goode plus whatever pg would be alot of fun to watch(although very unlikely we ever see that on the floor).

The league is not the only place you can play basketball and earn a good earning. He can think about his choices from now to then. Doesn't have to carve it in stone.

Well clearly but with some of these numbers being tossed around for the highest NIL numbers can he earn much more anywhere else other than the NBA?

They both definitely have some similar qualities - long, athletic, can get to the rim, solid jump shooters. I would consider TSJ a big guard and RJ a wing. But that's just splitting hairs at that point. TSJ is also already a proven terrific 2-way player. RJ definitely has that potential and has shown great flashes with his length on the defensive end but is still less proven for obvious reasons.

A potential lineup of:

Clark/Epps/transfer guard
TSJ
RJ
Hawkins/Goode/stretch 4 transfer
Kofi

really gets me going... it really does.
If that happens that’s a final four squad no doubt. Don’t fade Dainja either he’s the stretch/depth

Anyone have any real sense of the NIL numbers? I haven’t seen anything on this site. I’ve also spoken with a few seriously informed people. Either no one knows or no one is willing to discuss it.

Kofi if he comes back is our lone senior
Coleman Hawkins is our lone junior
Talk about getting young fast

We will be a very different team than this year. I am excited.

I want to see Illinois fast break, drive to the hoop, press. Bring back the Flying Illini!

Crazy times - last year we lost all of our assistant coaches, this year we have all our starters graduate or go to NBA
