Did anyone here actually watch what Houston's big, long, guards did to our undersized backcourt? Lol. He's a 6'5 point guard that takes care of the ball well, rebounds, and plays good defense. I think he would be a great add. Shot 32% from 3 as a freshman, not unrealistic that his shooting can improve.

I think people aren't realizing yet that once you get bigger on the perimeter, the need for everyone to be a good three point shooter lessens. I'll take streaky shooters that can more consistently get to the paint and get fouls.

Depending on what happens with Podz, a guard rotation of Clark (6'3), Epps (6'2), TSJ (6'6), Williams (6'5), makes us a look a lot more like teams that play deep into March. It's okay to have some big guards that aren't all knockdown shooters.

Hell, when our "knockdown" shooters last year went cold, they were practically worthless on the floor. Not the case with a guy like Williams.

I don't think BBV would've been heading out to recruit TSJ with Kofi if he was planning on hitting the portal anytime soon.
He seems like a culture guy and he's provided good spot minutes backing up KC. I think he stays.
Was Payne with them?

Hopefully Williams is more of a project then someone to be relied to play a major role. If he develops a jumpshot he can be a big time player, id prefer not to count on it though

Not saying Dish has any credibility but have you forgotten when we thought we were hiring the Creighton assistant and he reportedly backed out?
I am well aware of all the Alan Huss talk at the time. Not trying to pick a fight, but he did say “in place and signed”. The rumor was pretty much out there at this point. I believe he came in strong and definitive to give the impression that he was an insider. Then, the “deal” fell apart and our newest “insider” didn’t post for months. You can take dish, I’ll take the field.

I think he’s a take now. 6’5 great defender, and great floor general. Hit or miss shooting but if you have 4 other scorers on the court then it’s fine.
If the guy can be a serviceable point guard, with length, and good defense, then you take that all day no matter what you get from his shot. Especially if he is expected to be a bench guy.

Even if he was planning to hit the portal (I hope he isn't) I can think of a lot worse ways to spend an evening than goin out on the town with Kofi and crew

Let’s also not forget he averaged 4.3 assists per game and we do not *currently* have an experienced point guard on the roster. For reference, Trent averaged 4.1. Slightly better rebounding numbers as well and both elite defenders.
