I would just like to take a moment to commend each of us on being absolutely batcrazy about Illinois basketball. No real news to speak of, yet almost 40 pages worth of posts in 2.5 days. This takes heart, it takes dedication, it takes perseverance...it means being a #EveryDayGuy. Well done y'all. I'm sure you each have your own support system you'd like to thank, but I am indebted to my good friend Coffee -- couldn't do it without ya!!
I heard Coffee just entered the portal... TBH, no big loss -- it doesn't have the kick we need. It was never really our kind of drink.
Well, I do suspect that Illini0440 is actually Tyler Underwood; so we could always ask him.

Have been searching without success the ncaa "exception" rules for 2nd time transfers NOT having to sit out one year. All I can find is "COVID possible exemption", whatever THAT means. This affects Adam Miller - to whom I would say Sayonara, pal - and also affects Omar Payne's possible decision of transferring out.

Yes, Edey might leave as well even though he's more of a second round projection. Speaking of Purdue - we had a disappointing ending to the year for sure, but think about Purdue, they had the best team in the Big Ten going into the year, was the top seeded Big Ten team in the tourny, but did not win the Big Ten regular season, didn't win the BTT and lost in the sweet 16, so basically nothing to show for having your best team since Glenn Robinson and next year, they will not be good

Staff actually likes Murray better. TSJ is more attainable though.
Yep - my kids both went to Purdue and are not happy. They have some good recruits and some redshirts, but are losing a ton.
Part of that is Painters doing….

Iowa's Joe Toussaint comes as little surprise to be in the transfer portal. He is not as "tall and long" or as gifted as Belo, but he is stronger and tougher. Quicker and faster too, and he is a capable assist man. He was clearly instrumental in effectively harassing PU's big men into TO's and Iowa winning the B1GT. Rightly or wrongly, he too had the "Good Joe, Bad Joe" label at a going rate of 50 percent on Iowa boards because of being perceived as out of control leading to TO's. Expect he will transfer out of the B1G and find success.
