Payne wasn’t a high volume minutes guy, but he did provide good minutes.
For a guy that was a similarly ranked recruit as Kofi coming out of high school, having more personal fouls (58) than points (57) and rebounds (53) on the season was very disappointing. Looking forward to seeing what Dain can do next year.

Hearing that Coleman Hawkins will be back.
I think it is weird that we need this kind of update on players these days. A guy who is an important part of the team with a few years of eligibility left and no NBA lottery on the horizon...
I guess it is an update we need for every player, every year now.

Sacraig, no joke, I knew a guy named Mike Michael Michaels. Sadly passed away about 7-8 years ago, but it was pretty funny discussing how his parents named him.
I was also being totally serious but didn't know him well enough to ask him why his parents felt compelled to do that.

Would Payne have to sit a year if he transfers?
He would unless he was granted some sort of waiver or went D2. I don’t think mid majors count enough as a change to be automatically granted a waiver.

I’m not sure we watched the same player. His foul rate was through the roof and he provided next to nothing on offense.
He protected the rim and did provide some offense on the pick and rolls . Is there someone better out there in the portal? Maybe so.
