Yep, this isn't good. It would not surprise me if IL didn't land either Clark or TSJ. And I don't imagine their odds are great at getting Murray, either. A lot of big-boy programs are after him.
IMO that's the most likely scenario. I have no inside info. Just us against the field isn't generally a great beat.

We will get guys who can play. We aren’t in need of a savior. Some depth & experience would be nice.

Love this quote concerning portal transfers by Jeff Walz, coach of Louisville's women's basketball:

"I always like to say, 'The grass is greener on the other side because it's fertilized," Walz said, adding a colorful description of the fertilizer.

What happened to TSJ being a lock? 😤
If I read correctly; it would be a done deal if UIUC would accept all of his credits. We now have some possible insight into the problem. It appears UI might only accept 2 years (60 hrs) of transfer credits toward a degree.

This isn't correct. The issue is that in order to get a degree from UIUC, you must complete 60 credit hours at UIUC. Shannon is likely only going to be here for one year which isn't enough to get 60 credits (usually 15 per semester is the average).

I imagine this would be a pretty uniform standard for most universities? If so, would he not face the same issue elsewhere?

Skyy will end up at Illinois but TSJ… the insiders on here got way ahead of themselves with TSJ and all the credit talk is just an excuse. It was always going to be a blue blood.

What are y'all talking about man:ROFLMAO:He wasn't even talking about any specific recruits lmao
I just think so many fans are ready to stay at the top of the BIG10. Being able to stay there requires having the Dogs. Skyy and TSJ seem to be the cherry on the top with incoming class and current players. Problem is everyone, including myself, want them to commit yesterday. Hopefully posters with some inside info remain patient because this fan base is so hungry to get back to where this program should be.
