The future is now - I would prefer TSJ if he is willing to commit. Sounds like Georgetown is trying to get the entire LSU team to transfer there.I believe that we get Skyy and get whichever wants to declare first TSJ or Murray. We do not need both. With just those two, we will be loaded, Kofi back or not. Top to bottom, this would be the most talented 13 in Illinois history. Let this first domino drop then watch everything fall into place. BU is building a top notched program. Light years from 2017 when Groce had us buried in the lower half of the B1G

Sure, but 3 time zones to the east we get to 2:30 (and 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, etc.) 3 hours ahead of you!The great thing about being 3 time zones away is that I only have to wait until 2:30 MST.
I was talking about the entire 13 not just the top 7. We could not go that deep in 2005 as we will next year. Now if Randle did not get hurt, then that 05 team could go 10 deep. The roster would be in great shape. One of the best on paper in a long time. But to say it would have more talent than the ‘05 team seems like a stretch to me…
How could Chin make empty promises if the kid never even arrived to campus? The Skyy really looks fantastic today. Slightly off-topic, any intel on why Skyy decommitted from UK? Was it a problem with Cal, or did Chin make empty promises?

Really not the 89 team. The roster would be in great shape. One of the best on paper in a long time. But to say it would have more talent than the ‘05 team seems like a stretch to me…
For there to be dominoes three and five in your scenario, there MUST be dominoes six and seven.I expect Domino #4 (Kofi announces he's staying) to happen soon. Then ...
Domino #5 - Shannon, Jr. commits.
Will there be a Domino #6? I sure do LOVE their brookies!
Wordd... I look forward to Skyy making BBN look bad with stellar play next year. How could Chin make empty promises if the kid never even arrived to campus?
In case you were actually wondering, this is what UK source had to say about it.
“It’s probably best for both parties involved because UK will return Wheeler and target a combo guard in the transfer portal. Cason can also run point.
Skyy had been trending in the wrong direction as a prospect for the past couple of years. Got a little too heavy, struggled to defend laterally. Hadn’t played many games the last couple of seasons and struggled against competition.
Great shot and handle but I think he’d do much, much better at a program that doesn’t have the ‘’machine” that UK has in place where it’s produce or get recruited over.
Skyy is a PHENOMENAL kid and I’m going to be rooting for him no matter where he goes.”
If I as to rank the top 5 Illinois teams in my lifetime, it would be 89, 05, 01, 84 and 81. This next years team will be in that conversation.Really not the 89 team.
Nah, dominoes one (Curbelo) and two (Payne) opened up the schollies for three (Skyy) and five (TSJ).For there to be dominoes three and five in your scenario, there MUST be dominoes six and seven.
Washington State by chance? The great thing about being 3 time zones away is that I only have to wait until 2:30 MST.
I totally agree he needs more arc on his shot to be a consistent shooter. Hopefully the staff works with him on this!A little more arc on his shot and he's gonna be really good from outside too.
Replacing players that haven’t committed here yet is a new level of awesomeTaylor would be a virtually perfect replacement for TSJ. Would vault our recruiting to a new level too.
If Skyy commits today, we’re at 14 players. One must go. If TSJ commits as well, we’re at 15. Two must go.Nah, dominoes one (Curbelo) and two (Payne) opened up the schollies for three (Skyy) and five (TSJ).
I get the info an hour earlier. The only bad part (other than it interfering with work) is getting up and having to go through 6 new pages of this recruiting thread to catch up in the morning. The great thing about being 3 time zones away is that I only have to wait until 2:30 MST.
1984 B10 champion team Bruce Douglas Efrem Winters George Montomery Doug Altenberger and Quinn Richardson that lost in Elite 8 at Rupp Arena to KY team with Sam Bowie Melvin Turpin Kenny "Sky" Walker 54-51. The NCAA banned teams from playing NCAA games at home arena after that year.If I as to rank the top 5 Illinois teams in my lifetime, it would be 89, 05, 01, 84 and 81. This next years team will be in that conversation.
All 5 starters on 2005 team had some time in the NBA. That could be possible with the team Of Kofi, Hawk, RJ, TSJ, and Skyy but certainly need a lot of development. Do think they have the potential which is very much unlike the 21 team. The roster would be in great shape. One of the best on paper in a long time. But to say it would have more talent than the ‘05 team seems like a stretch to me…
If Skyy commits today, we’re at 14 players. One must go. If TSJ commits as well, we’re at 15. Two must go.
3 scholarships go on the floor, 5 men enter, only the strong survive. If Skyy commits today, we’re at 14 players. One must go. If TSJ commits as well, we’re at 15. Two must go.
