That 2001 team was unusually deep. I feel like there was another player you didn't name that was also in the rotation. But regardless, we actually had a 8-9 man rotation at season's end, which is rare in college basketball.

Technically, at season's end (vs. Lute/Arizona), we had a 11 man rotation (after the first 6 had fouled out).

I agree. He has multiple ways of scoring as well as Luke does. We will be a better passing team which will give us easy baskets. With several scoring options, things will be easier for Kofi in the paint as well.
Good that you mentioned Luke. I think he's overlooked too often.

Met him when he recruited a kid from my high school. Awesome guy. Even signed my Dee Brown jersey. “I recruited him!” he said. Out of all the coaches I met in high school, he was the nicest. Crean was the worst lol.
Bill and Roy Williams.....great dudes and there is a reason they have been so successful in their field. Talk to you like you've been best friends for years.

Crean is an A hole.

Roy was also extremely nice. Met him multiple times because my friend was JP Tokoto who played for Roy for three years. Roy always had time to talk. I wanted to dislike him but just couldn’t. Seeing that 2005 championship ring was surreal tho. I have a couple pictures with him but I can’t find them at the moment. I’m at opening day in Milwaukee.

I was a huge Jayhawks fan when Williams was at the helm. The team they had with LaFrentz/Pierce/Vaughan/Pollard was rediculously talented! Hated the Jayhawks ever since they poached Self.

have said it multiple times - the trajectory of the team/program is nearing or surpassing the level of early 2000's

Don't think starting 5 will be as good as 2004-2005 but the top 10 will be more talented. Hopefully by March 2023 we will be making noise
In 2004, I remember reading a writeup of the 2005 team that stated in the previous year an absurdly high number of baskets (like 70% or more) were assisted. I don't think many teams will ever reach that level.
