Hard work, good coaching, awesome athletic ability, and work ethic go along way to making you be Elite. Something BU always talks about One reason Jerry Rice is one of my favorite athletes ever, was the GOAT, awesome as a WR until in his 40s. I know it's not hoops but regardless of the sport I use him as a role model for a dedicated athlete all the time. He would be a good one for all Illini athletes to try and use as a role model to be the best they can be. Most do not have it in them that's for sure.

We’ll see. He entered portal last year. He could do it again as a negotiation tactic to get more NIL $$ from IL. I think if he plays college ball it will be at Illinois. Find out tomorrow

And where They used to dominate Defensively with their inside presence... They would do nothing to stop the hot Three Point shooters of today. And most everybody knows how to shoot Threes today.

And Kofi – not being in the same class as all those legends — is cut in the mold of that kind of Center from a generation or two ago.

It’s just fundamentally a different game from what it used to be. And it likely won’t change in the future unless something is done to tweak the rules again.

So for Kofi — does he want to face his future NOW or in a year? He’ll pretty much be the same player either way. And whatever he decides... it will probably make much more of a different to the Illini this year than it will for his own future.

The Big Center without an outside game has now been diminished like the running back in football or the baseball hurler whose fast ball can’t get above 93. The Game is passing them by.

We all appreciate Kofi for what he's done right now without any worry for tomorrow.

No they would not. Here is why. Like Alonzo Mourning once said if he was coming up today he would have worked on and gotten good at the aspects of today's game like bigs do today. These elite athletes would have done that too if born in to this era. Even so if old school Jabbar was in this year's draft he would absolutely be the #1 pick. He had the most unstoppable shot in the history of basketball and shot it at a very high percentage. That will always translate.

What would be the benefit for Kofi to transfer at this point to another school and not enter NBA Draft?
The NIL money is very nice at U of I right now so why would he go anywhere other then Illinois if he stays for another year in CBB?
