Why would he do something stupid like that when he could have chosen Illinois? I guess we didn't want him anywayToo late, went to Providence
Next words from the basement "Mom I need a grilled cheese sandwich!!". Sorry, this make no sense. After watching Brad fail to play shooters with him in the tournament, don't blame him if his choice is to transfer
Haters gon hateStop.
Oh damn I love grilled cheese... I may have to call my mom.Next words from the basement "Mom I need a grilled cheese sandwich!!". Sorry, this make no sense.
I wouldn’t want to go to a party with this clown
If Kofi was capable of shooting from the outside at a high rate, I'm pretty sure BU would give him the green light and it would amount to more wins. Also, that would raise his NBA draft status, which ipso facto means BU would be coaching him to send him to the next level. So...I am gonna call BS on this whole line of thinking.“I don’t care if I go un-drafted,” Cockburn said. “I know when I get my opportunity I am going to show people that I belong there. Ayo went out and he did it and people realize now that he was really a lottery pick. I have that spirit, I’m a real hard worker, I’m focused, I’m dedicated at the end of the day that is going to pay off, it’s gonna show.”
“My coach (Brad Underwood) is not coaching me in college basketball to send me to the next level, he is coaching me to win basketball games here,” Cockburn said. “In the future I will have the opportunity to show people what I am capable of doing– that I am capable of playing at the next level.”
Well, I definitely agree with your first part...Kofi will break records if he comes back. But, I'm not sure it's even possible that he will be the greatest player ever at Illinois. Ayo comes to mind for a variety of reasons, not the least being the resurgence of Illinois basketball. Deron Williams. Nick Anderson. Eddie Johnson. Derek Harper. Kendall Gill. Dee Brown. Ken Norman. I think all of those names could be considered as great, or greater than Kofi. Of course, just my opinion. I would go with Ayo for so many reasons. Plus, he'll be a star in the NBA where Kofi probably won't be. No criticism of Kofi, but not sure he is athletic enough for the NBA. Hope he proves me wrong.I’ll be shocked is Kofi does not return to Illinois.
He will break records next year and solidify himself as possibly the greatest to ever play for the Illini.
No doubt. I was confused by his statement about Coach not coaching him for the next level. If Kofi was capable of shooting from the outside at a high rate, I'm pretty sure BU would give him the green light and it would amount to more wins. Also, that would raise his NBA draft status, which ipso facto means BU would be coaching him to send him to the next level. So...I am gonna call BS on this whole line of thinking.
I would assume a deal was made since it's early. Otherwise why announce early? You generally don't announce you are going to the NBA either lol. You just declare.
If he sets the Illinois all time points and rebounds records before he goes, alongside the team achievements of BTT and conference titles, I think that counts for quite a bit in the "best" conversation. Here's hoping he hangs a few more banners before he leaves.Well, I definitely agree with your first part...Kofi will break records if he comes back. Pru... brother... you all among all of us should should understand in your timeless wisdom that Loyalty abhors a vacuum of idiocy. Or that foolish commentary slows to a pace sufficient to fill the time allotted to it. Or something along those lines.View attachment 17410
I'm a gummy bear addict.................I really really am ....................the question is why ??..................is it my lifestyle choices , such as 420 and NL 's ??..Or . does this board warrant responsibility for making me dependent on those delicious little cute bundles of THC & CBD.........This is a serious question......in the course of 1 day , ONE DAY , we can transform from reasonable people in society to such a group of incoherent fanatics exploring every angle , no matter how silly or unbelievable those thoughts are ............
This board is a one gummy bear at a time limited experience excursion..........Two gummy's at a time and being on this board is like walking on a bed of hot coals........gotta try and walk those coals but afterward's your feet are blistered beyond recognition but you don't care ........You showed the masses you have the gonads to put your thoughts out there , no matter how disturbed they seem to be ...........\

I don’t go to parties
Hopefully Kofi's camp isn't making the decision for him..
They told Brad he needed an NIL number near 2 mil.
You're overthinking it. You announce that you're declaring. If Kofi is going to the NBA, he obviously isn't going to say "Declaring tomorrow" -- that gives away what the choice is.I would assume a deal was made since it's early. Otherwise why announce early? You generally don't announce you are going to the NBA either lol. You just declare.
I don’t do gifs but it is a reference to a song…my badYou mean like Tim Duncan?
I’m hoping he returns, but I sincerely doubt the chance to break records will have anything to do with the decision.I’ll be shocked is Kofi does not return to Illinois.

Likely three time All American, among career leaders in many stats. Etc. I don’t think “greatest player in Illinois history” is about how well they do after leaving Illinois. It’s about what they did while they were here.Well, I definitely agree with your first part...Kofi will break records if he comes back. I didn’t say that was part of his reasoning. Just said it will happen.I’m hoping he returns, but I sincerely doubt the chance to break records will have anything to do with the decision.
This is a really good post. I've been saying Ayo is the best I've ever seen in O&B but Kofi is by far the most dominant. But you make a good point that's very hard to argue.Likely three time All American, among career leaders in many stats. Etc. I don’t think “greatest player in Illinois history” is about how well they do after leaving Illinois. It’s about what they did while they were here.
I get what you are saying though. But if Kofi is a three time AA and become the career points leader for Illinois, he’s probably the best ever in my book.
