Thanks...I didn't watch the video. I just read the news. You'd think I would've learned my lesson by 2022.Because it's taken out of context. Watch the video and his entire reply.
And That would make him so much more draft attractiveUmmm obviously that he comes back…..but preferably about 25 pounds lighter

It would make Illinois able to do a lot more offensively and defensivelyAnd That would make him so much more draft attractive
Good pointHas anyone ever come back from the Caribbean 25 lbs lighter?
I'm not even close to 0440 but here goes anyway:0440 I am wondering if you would be willing to share your preference...?
a. Kofi comes back
b. Kofi declares for draft
My source says Kofi is gone.
That won’t get him far in the league. Should learn from Ayo.Well that sucks to hear.
Has anyone ever gone on a vacation to prepare for the NBA draft?Has anyone ever come back from the Caribbean 25 lbs lighter?
After watching Brad fail to play shooters with him in the tournament, don't blame him if his choice is to transfer
Us older guys would also include Dave Downey, Dave Scholz, and most especially Nick Weatherspoon. Nick still owns the Illini BB records for career per game points (20.9) and rebounds (11.3). Only played 3 years (he was before freshmen could play) so his career numbers are less than many great 4 year guys.Well, I definitely agree with your first part...Kofi will break records if he comes back. But, I'm not sure it's even possible that he will be the greatest player ever at Illinois. Ayo comes to mind for a variety of reasons, not the least being the resurgence of Illinois basketball. Deron Williams. Nick Anderson. Eddie Johnson. Derek Harper. Kendall Gill. Dee Brown. Ken Norman. I think all of those names could be considered as great, or greater than Kofi. Of course, just my opinion. I would go with Ayo for so many reasons. Plus, he'll be a star in the NBA where Kofi probably won't be. No criticism of Kofi, but not sure he is athletic enough for the NBA. Hope he proves me wrong.
Generally I call that going home, like how I don't consider going to rural farmland Illinois as a nice vacation.Has anyone ever gone on a vacation to prepare for the NBA draft?
Think more in the neighborhood of the Suns' Ayton ... approximately 250 pounds. And That would make him so much more draft attractive
Great example ... You gotta want to be great, some guys are just okay with being really good ...
Ain't no cheating your way to greatness.
And Jacob couldn’t shoot. Is this a joke? Plummer played 31 and Trent 37. They combined to go 3-13 from 3pt land. Who did you want in?
This crossed my mind last week and why I’m hopeful.Has anyone ever gone on a vacation to prepare for the NBA draft?
True. But either way, I think the combine is in less than a month and Kofi is a borderline draft pick. Going home to hang out with family when your dream goal necessitates a good showing in less than a month would be recklessly bonkers.Generally I call that going home, like how I don't consider going to rural farmland Illinois as a nice vacation.
Dave Downey scored 53 in a game against Indiana before there was a 3 point arc. That is probably still the record for an Illini player in a game.Us older guys would also include Dave Downey, Dave Scholz, and most especially Nick Weatherspoon. Nick still owns the Illini BB records for career per game points (20.9) and rebounds (11.3). Only played 3 years (he was before freshmen could play) so his career numbers are less than many great 4 year guys.
Let’s hope that’s complete BS so I don’t have to strongly contemplate plucking out my eyeballs with a spoon. Lol.
Some people are commenting that he’s transferring to Michigan State. Yeah he’s definitely going there. Lol
Kofi the GOAT? Nah.I’ll be shocked is Kofi does not return to Illinois.
He will break records next year and solidify himself as possibly the greatest to ever play for the Illini.
Watch the whole interview. These quotes were taken out of context.Kofi Cockburn hoping to reunite with Ayo Dosunmu
Kofi Coburn is hoping to stay in the state if Illinois ideally playing for the Chicago Bulls but is open to possibly playing one more at Illinois.fansided.com
“I don’t care if I go un-drafted,” Cockburn said. “I know when I get my opportunity I am going to show people that I belong there. Ayo went out and he did it and people realize now that he was really a lottery pick. I have that spirit, I’m a real hard worker, I’m focused, I’m dedicated at the end of the day that is going to pay off, it’s gonna show.”
“My coach (Brad Underwood) is not coaching me in college basketball to send me to the next level, he is coaching me to win basketball games here,” Cockburn said. “In the future I will have the opportunity to show people what I am capable of doing– that I am capable of playing at the next level.”
What are your criteria?Kofi the GOAT? Nah.
Would that still count as a full scholarship against the limit?Ummm obviously that he comes back…..but preferably about 25 pounds lighter
