My speculation is that the game plan will be different with Kofi next year than it was this year. We really were a two dimensional team. My perception was that Curbelo and Hutchinson were our push it to the middle players. Once they went down, we didn't have the players who did it well. Hawk would sometimes drive the lane, but would never look for his shot once there. Next year we have a few who will help collapse the defense.

My wife received a text from her connected friend a few minutes ago. She said the staff is aware of Kofi’s decision. She also knows, but won’t share any more information. I doubt this adds any value to the discussion, but thought I’d pass it along. Seems awfully tight lipped… Not sure how to take it.

It's not the only benchmark to someone's college career success, but it's definitely an element.

Post season success is a key determinant in the minds of most people when you talk about the greatest of all time. Not just for the Illini or college basketball but for every other sport.

Philip Rivers is sixth on the list for passing yards. He's on no ones list for greatest QBs because he's never even been to the Super Bowl.

Feel free to ignore the post season in your assessment, but most fans put a good amount of weight on it.
