Agreed. Also, no reason for staff/insiders to keep quiet if he is going elsewhere. Only reason to keep quiet is for Kofi’s benefit. I’m guessing they do not want to take away from Kofi’s IG announcement. Also, guys playing in Europe and the G-League aren’t making $ off IG.

Sure I am judging him because want the best for him personally. and hoping he is getting sound advice. I don't feel leaving is wise. Do you? I pray he is making the right decision regardless of what I think. I know when I was young or others I knew I should have listened most of the time. Regardless of what I or anyone thinks it's his choice and I hope he makes the right choice for his own future, not the Illinois basketball program. Either way I am thankful for Kofi, wish him wisdom and a bright future.

I really don’t think the insiders have said anything to that effect. My impression is they truly don’t know Kofis decision but they do know the transfer backup plan
I think the general vibe from the insiders here is that, they don't know what to believe as Kofi/his camp have kept it pretty tight
The David Jones thing is encouraging whether Kofi stays or goes.

I know it's a different sport and different school, but this is one of my favorite "I'm coming back for my senior year" announcements. Would be pretty cool if Kofi is returning if he got a reaction like this. Got to skip ahead to about 1:20 in this video to see it.
