Mine is that our rebounding numbers are going to drop like a rock. He never misses.
Perhaps we get our rebounding numbers back up by "missing 100% of the shots we don't take"? (Is that how that works?)

not sure about the not missing part but rebound number might drop without Kofi.

Personally, I hope we start the year unranked. With where this team could finish (both B10 and NCAA), could be a nice narrative to finally get BU some coaching awards
Nah although I get the point you are making... Getting ranked preseason helps marketing, future person tourney placements, slots for national tv games, and then creating a better and longer term narrative that your program is consistently good. BU will get his awards if we keep winning

good point, i should probably change 'hope' to 'I don't mind if' :)

More layups by Skyy than our 2021-2022 guards had last year :)
One of the biggest weaknesses was getting to the rim and making a layup, that and drawing fouls. We will have both fixed plus improving our FT shooting which could add another 10 points to the score. We were the worst team in the conference on getting easy baskets.

Future Walk-On

Peoria, IL
Off topic: Just found out I have to go to Lafayette for work in a few weeks.

Purdue beat us twice but we won the BIG.
Do I have wiggle room to talk crap to everyone or should I keep my mouth shut?

Generally good natured in my experience, but Tippecanoe County can be a strange place with some even stranger people.

NEVER pass up a chance to talk crap to Purdue. Just need to choose the format carefully, given the above. Something like, "I know you didn't win the Big Ten this year, do you at least have a BTT title in the last couple years?"

I love Coleman's energy and athleticism, but I'd really like his outside shot trajectory to improve. It's just so flat and the physics-minded people understand that it's just got less of a margin for error. I've read recently that many coaches don't put much time into shooting technique any longer, they just stress repetition with what's comfortable and being ready to shoot. Idk if that's true (probably not entirely) but that could answer why poor FT shooters don't really improve that much too often. Maybe that's something that each player has to work on outside of the program (during summer, etc.).

There are machines that attached to a gym wall, track a shot arc, and beep if you've gone outside of the desirable (programmed) arc. I've never seen it in action but it sounds cool. Repetition with that would be easy.

Anyway, shoot up and out CoHawk!

Yeah, college coaches are limited in the amount of time that they can work with players in the offseason, and I don't think it's enough time to completely overhaul a shot form. Instead they might make minor tweaks and just try to get guys comfortable doing what they do. It isn't until guys hit the pros that they will make drastic changes (see Lonzo Ball) and even then I think it's usually with trainers in the offseasons.
