Are any of the Freshman on campus yet? Curious about practice reports.....anyone makin All their 3's?
I don’t think they are yet. Saw a retweet of a Harris tweet over the weekend I think that said he’d be arriving this weekend.

Kofi will have an NBA invite. Mayer was invited last year but declined. I assume he will receive an invite this year as well but not guaranteed. They both could have gotten GLeague invites but declined as well, that list is just who accepted
How many invites go out for the Combine?

I really want to see BU trot out Nance, CoHawk, RJ, TSJ, and Skyy. Talk about long and athletic. Dain, Goode, Ty and Epps off the bench to smack people around and B1G bully ball.

Man the lineup options are going to be fun as hell. So many options to matchup/create matchup problems. Freshman guards may (probably will) struggle a bit early, but I think one or both will totally ready come Feb./March.

The practices are going to be must see.

The different world of college basketball... Illinois offered 236 recruits in Underwood's first four full classes from 2018-2021. More than 40 percent of those players have already transferred...

The New Rules...

Half of guys are gonna eventually pick up and go... no matter what you as a Coach and Program do.

Half of guys are gonna stay. They like where They are and They know the grass is not always greener on somebody else’s floor and campus. And sometimes if it does look greener it might just be a bunch of weeds that give you an allergy. And they’ll wonder why they ever left.

But everyone else is living with the same thing. That means that half of the great talent each year is available for the taking. Lots to choose from and much easier to fill holes on your team. And create better blends of player skills and temperaments.

Just concentrate on making your program a place that guys WANT to come to.

And even players who grew up with Caribbean palm trees in their yard or a West Coast surfboard in their room or a European passport will come to love Illinois prairies. Even in Winter. And a fan base that appreciates great basketball like no other.

'Embrace The Orange'. The new shade of Major College Roundball.

Really it's just going to be a question of when and how well this teach jells. We are going to have an extremely high level of talent but almost entirely composed of pieces that have never played with each other.
Yeah, I'm expecting the more excitable members of our fanbase to be out in force come the beginning of the season when we have a slow start. After the initial hiccups, though, it should be an incredibly fun brand of basketball that will make us a nightmare matchup for teams come March.
