According to Torvik, adding Bates would move us from 13 to 14. :ROFLMAO:

If it works for basketball there’s no reason it can’t work for football too. Just might take awhile longer.
For it to work in either sport, I think the team has to be considered a title contender on a year-in, year-out basis. We're there in basketball, not there in football. If that's what you mean by "it might take a little longer," then I think we agree. If you think it can work for us in football with us being a .500 team in years when we load the non conference schedule with patsies, I am not optimistic.

How good is Bates? I mean, he was the top recruit in the country last year. The talent is there in bunches. It's a question of everything else. As others have said, if we get Bates back on track, we're even more of a prime destination.

The thought of a roster with that much length is dizzying. The brand of basketball we can play is going to be absurdly fun.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it. Definitely would be risky. But if Brad and Tim are convinced...

If we get Bates turned around, that would speak volumes.

It’s like I’m talking to Brad himself (y)

You fix Bates and maximize his potential and turn him into an NBA guy ? Kids, Coaches, Parents etc will not forget that for a LONG TIME …

People forget Emoni was 17 years old last year playing against 21 and 22 year old men … It’s an adjustment. The talent is there, let TA work with him and get him right …

I thought about this and maybe that's what I am missing. However I think the purpose of NIL and some of them are for endorsement. So it would benefit the business to disclose them and they do. On the other hand, if it were boosters simply opening up the pocket for recruitment, there's no need to disclose them. And to think about it, it's probably better off not to disclose the amount to create pressure for future recruitment that you have to "up your game."

Let's also remember NIL money is income. I doubt too many on here would want how much they make publicly disclosed and debated.
