This reminds of 1989 team. Bardo as the long point. Rodgers as primary ball handler is still just fantasy stuff for me. Sure hope it can pan out“A potential Rodgers-Shannon-Melendez-Mayer-Hawkins lineup could be devastating defensively due to its length and switchability.”
I’m not sure how realistic it is either… but I did see him leading the break while going behind the back to change directions at full speed in one of the clips that’s been shared so maybe?Rodgers as primary ball handler is still just fantasy stuff for me. Sure hope it can pan out
We're a team filled with maybes. Will be fun to watch it play out.I’m not sure how realistic it is either… but I did see him leading the break while going behind the back to change directions at full speed in one of the clips that’s been shared so maybe?

They are not going anywhere if Skyy,Epps,Dain and Sincere are not causing chaos“A potential Rodgers-Shannon-Melendez-Mayer-Hawkins lineup could be devastating defensively due to its length and switchability.”
For whom do the bells toll?Sure hope so. The bell's ringing for Hawkins, big time. Hopefully, he's workin' his butt off and getting his mind straight.
Other than the concussion, I think we would have benefited from something like this. I don't remember seeing a video like this last year, so I'm assuming we didn't take emphasize it. Could be a dangerous thing to do, but I like to live on the edge.
Dial up the Debbie Downer clips.
Sure, I'll bite. the move was okay. the right hand attacking from the left, well, not so hot.Dial up the Debbie Downer clips.
Sincire and company didn’t try very hard to stop CH…. That path won’t be there come B10 time.
There are certainly some maybes, but we are not a team filled with maybes. We are an exceptionally long & athletic team with 3 players on 2023 NBA radars & a roster filled with talent - 8 out of the first 9 players in our rotation were top 100 guys out of high school. Not to mention, Daddy Brad at the helm! We're a team filled with maybes. Will be fun to watch it play out.
Agree. The most talent on a team since 2005. Not proven as a team yet, but this much talent at one time is rare for our program. I'm confident the coaching staff can take advantage of it...they must take advantage of it....if we are to become the program we all hope to be.There are certainly some maybes, but we are not a team filled with maybes. Semantics perhaps, but I see lots of maybe’s and a few likely’s. We don’t have a single proven high level veteran even tho we expect Shannon and Mayer to be that for us. I agree we are exceptionally long and athletic. I’m excited to see the team develop. We could be great, but we are depending on things that haven’t yet been seen from freshman and transfers. The ceiling is high. I’m not 100% sure the floor is as high as some think until I see it come together. And that’s ok! We each temper our optimism differently. There are certainly some maybes, but we are not a team filled with maybes. It’s fantasy. Unless there’s a disaster, Skyy and/or Epps will be on the court virtually all the time.
Put me in the camp that thinks it won't happen except maybe for a few minutes early in the season for funzies or as an experiment. I think it's more of a compliment than a possibility. No slight to Rodgers, just a statement about the PGs.
Lots of talent, much of it young. Depth of talent, for sure. Who’s the All American, though? Two seasons ago we had two of those.Agree. The most talent on a team since 2005. No, it does not depend on how Ty "responds" because no matter what he lacks quickness and handles. But if he is playing with a point guard that is quick enough to disrupt a defense well then Ty is money because he can exploit a softened up defense. It all depends how Rodgers responds, no? For sure, I expect he'll get some auditions early (cupcakes). Then we'll see.
If he can do it, that will be great, as I think Epps is more deadly off the ball, at least right now (prove me wrong, Jayden).

Using the rim to protect the ball as he goes from the right side of the basket to the left is not "not so hot." It is the right decision.Sure, I'll bite. the move was okay. the right hand attacking from the left, well, not so hot.
I think he might be referring to shooting with his right hand rather than shifting it to his left hand when he went to left side of basket. This used to bother me more than it does now. I think because so many players now do it. But there are certainly times you see a player miss shots like this because they have a bad angle or having it blocked by showing ball to defender. In this case, because CH had the basket as protection, it would take a great defensive play to have blocked him.Using the rim to protect the ball as he goes from the right side of the basket to the left is not "not so hot." Guys who lack quickness and handles is exactly what they say about our teamNo, it does not depend on how Ty "responds" because no matter what he lacks quickness and handles. I’m very pro off hand finishing. One of my pet peeves of coaching HS in Texas is nobody has worked on these kids off hands before they get to me. It’s absurd. So thats my opinion for perspective on my next comment.I think he might be referring to shooting with his right hand rather than shifting it to his left hand when he went to left side of basket.
