It's also a handful of examples spanning 20+ years.I'd argue a couple of these guys hurt their stock though during college. Couple being Baldwin and Bassey.
Shaedon Sharpe just sat on UK's bench for a year and went 22 picks higher than Baldwin. There's no way of knowing if they'd have developed any better at a P5. How much is personal and how much is programmatic? Hard to say.

As Joaquin Andujar stated so eloquently in asked to give a one word answer.................... 'You never know. '”...................
I can't tell you how happy I would be if the class of 23 ends up being Hansberry, Toohey, DGL.
I remember just a few months ago thinking how good the class of 2023 was going to be with JJ Taylor, Fears, Boswell, and Buzelis all having ties to IL... oh how the turns have tabled.
The real question is Toohey's New or Toohey's Old?Toohey ('23), 6' 8" Aussie we're recruiting:
Need more info, but his versatility and guard skills are appealing. Seems like a better prospect than Dunlap.
And I'm fine with that (super strange thing to be saying). We've undergone nothing less than a recruiting sea change. And I'm loving it!
Lotta spinning plates right now WRT PG in 2023. Guessing ZZ is leaning to re-class.
If I had to bet on it, I would say Hansberry is our only HS prospect that we wind up signing for this class ...
Don't forget the 2 we pulled out of Indiana. (though maybe the Melendez inclusion was unintentional)Crazy to really get a perspective on how good this staff is rolling right now and covering all recruiting avenues possible. Let’s summarize:
1. Coaches in to see the three in-state, high priority trio. One already committed.
2. Coaches offer top forward in Australia while waiting for the top big man from France to arrive on campus.
3. Coaches offer a top prospect in Florida, after securing the top player in Maryland.
4. Coaches sign the #1 transfer class after raiding Texas that includes 2 players from a NCAA championship roster and 1 from a sweet 16 team.
And for fun they went and got Clark, Melendez, Rodgers, Epps all from out of state.
Color me impressed. It’s a good thing Brad doesn’t talk to recruits, cause if he did…
Good things, Illini fans. Good things.
Maybe I’ll go scout in personToohey ('23), 6' 8" Aussie we're recruiting:

What’s an Indiana? Never heard of such a thing. Sounds awful (except for 2 players).Don't forget the 2 we pulled out of Indiana. (though maybe the Melendez inclusion was unintentional)
