Kevin Kane?I'm sure BB has his Walters clone all picked out.
And Wisconsin?Got curious on this and decided to look it up.
It was November 5, 2016. Illini defeated Michigan State at home 31-27. Iowa lost at #20 Penn State 41-14. Notre Dame lost a neutral site game to Navy in Jacksonville, FL, 28-27.
Defense is awesome, the offense is behind on a talent stand point and 3 games in a new system. They are in great spots, just have to clean up some timing and definitely ball security. Our offensive lineman now and future look like big time lineman, everything still starts there.defense is awesome
offense is still just average
Student tickets should be free until we are a bonafide top half B10 team, no question. It's a strange feeling beating a Power 5 opponent by 3 TD's and still being somewhat disappointed.
Also Witherspoon gives 110% every snap but needs to tone his talking down a bit. Every time he makes a play, I am keeping one eye on the ref seeing if he is going to get flagged. It's the same feeling I always had with Daniel Barker.
The other issue that needs fixing is the attendance. It's embarrassing when the game intro shows the crowd and it is 2/3 empty. Other than continued winning, does anyone have any good ideas? Maybe go to every grade school and high school in a 1 hour radius of Champaign and offer free or heavily reduced tickets? Maybe charter busses from Chicago for fans? I'm no marketing expert but I know some major changes need to happen.
Tickets for the Iowa game are $75. The team has to be real good for people to shell out that kind of money. It's a strange feeling beating a Power 5 opponent by 3 TD's and still being somewhat disappointed.

Michigan plays illinois the week before they play Ohio state. Illinois will be an underdog, but it could be a trap game for Michigan. Still a long way to go though. The only automatic loss I see right now is @Michigan.

About half of those 33K looked like they showed up.33,369 paid attendance.
Gotta get that number up!
