Bears released preliminary renderings for the Arlington Park project that includes a domed stadium that would be capable of hosting Super Bowl, College Football Playoff, or Final Four:

Interesting. I had imagined the stadium near where the race track is now, so that they could let those taking the train to be able to get off the train and walk into the stadium on some walkway, without ever having to go outside. I guess the architect has different views. Imagine that!

I think the objective is to force all the fans taking the train or any other public transportation , walk past all the stores and bars and places to / fro the game so they patronize all those places

much like the grocery store putting the milk in the back of the store

Random but related NFL question. How many of you solely follow the NFL because of fantasy football?

I grew up a Bears fan (in Packers country no less), but have distanced myself from my investment to the team probably when Lovie was let go.

Now I primarily follow the NFL because it's a means for connection with friends from my hometown or college for a period of time each year.

Never seen a field goal holder get called for a penalty like that before.
I think it was for leaving the towel on the field, not wiping the ground. You can't just leave an object in the middle of the field for a live play. The kick could get blocked and run back.

Eh. Ref said it was wiping the ground. They've had QBs have towels that they tear off and they stay on the field during the play with refs not calling it.

Best offensive play to this point was a defensive facemask. Yikes.

Edit: I also just realized I'm a few minutes behind so...
