When was the last time the Illini shut out a team?
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to watch a team that is just too fast and athletic for their opponent to handle. It’s nice, I enjoy it.

About three running plays where the defense missed some tackles. The offense seemed to lose a little focus in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Other than that, not much to complain about.
Chat is a good FCS team. They didn’t give the Illini a short field or easy scores. Played disciplined football. No dumb penalties. Only turnovers were a couple interceptions when the qb had a defender hanging on him as he tried to throw.
That effort would have given some recent Illinois teams trouble, but tonight Illinois just dominated them like a good Big 10 team should do against a FCS team.

We haven’t had a qb this good in a while. Devito is a great qb for this rebuilding team. He’s consistent and is willing to throw the ball. His completion percentage has been a pleasant surprise so far this season.
