Rhule brought Baylor back after the Bryles rape scandal right?

With the transfer portal, Ruhle will have them competitive in the B1G in no time. He's a home run hire for them.
They likely had this deal agreed to weeks ago and were just waiting for the season to end so they could let Josephs finish out in a normal fashion, and he did .
Hard to imagine this hire not working out for them
He's a good hire, probably the best they could have gotten, but he has never stayed long enough to know if he can really sustain a program. Baylor had that big year in 2019, but fell off in 2020 with Rhule's players after he left and have been up and down since. With the transfer portal, Ruhle will have them competitive in the B1G in no time. Is Nebraska a ground up rebuild? On paper aren’t they still pretty talented?Well Rhule is one of the coaches that didn;t exactly have to "rebuild" a progam that has suffered sustained losing. At both Temple and Baylor the cupboards were not "bare". There is also no guarantee that the transfer portal will lead to sustained success. look at Mel Tucker
- Temple was coming off a 4-7 season, but was 9-4 the year before that and even had a few other pretty solid seasons in the years prior under Steve Addazio and Al Golden.
- Baylor was up and running for years under Briles. Competing for Big 12 titles. The interim, Grobe, managed to take them to a bowl game the year before Rhule got there.
In other words, there were a lot of pieces in place that contributed heavily to his success (see Gene Chizk).
While he has had success, he has never had to do what will essentially be a rebuild from the ground up. So I think we should let Nebby be happy and hopeful during this holiday season, but in my humble opinion, I'm not convinced this will work out for reasons stated above.
they have talent there. better that the talent BB inherited. its fairly obvious that they had coaching and other issues getting in the way.Is Nebraska a ground up rebuild? On paper aren’t they still pretty talented?
I kinda feel like him going to Colorado would be a much bigger risk. Someone on twitter posted that they didn't think he'd take the CU job but would instead hold out for a P5 job. Ouch.I think Deion to USF would be a crazy cool move but it's not without risk to career trajectory.
Hope BB can hang on to him because we are noticeably stronger after two years of his program.I heard Arkansas just fired their S&C coach and might be looking to steal Tank…
Ohio State fans are really something- there are already articles circulating about what Ryan Day's buyout would be. Most other fan bases would kill for the success the Buck Nuts have had.
Maybe Ryan is more sub-Urban than Urban.
