Let’s see how the selection committee handles this weekend. I bet the $EC is gonna make a sales pitch
1. UGA
2. UM
3. tOSU
4. TCU

But this brings Bama into the picture, without question. IMO 1 loss in OT to a top-10 team trumps 2 loss Bama with their best win being....Ole Miss (??)

Will be interesting to see.

It is a high dollar sport. The committee selecting Alabama would not be a surprise as they have several million reasons to justify it. Kind of like not calling a pick/down field block when it happens right in front of you. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You have to remember that the Big Ten and SEC burning down the rest of the sport and ascending to their own duopoly in which they get all the money is a conspiracy of power that benefits those 32 schools and absolutely no one else.

Of the 13 committee members you have Michigan and Kentucky's AD's, former players at Penn State and Nebraska, a former coach of Texas A&M, and the former reporter who is both the token media member and token woman, who may be a wild card.

That's 6. They don't have the votes. Even if they wanted Bama in which they might not for other reasons.

It will be Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and TCU.

And my god how much better for college football it would be if Georgia and Michigan were settling it among themselves on January 8 in Tempe.

Completely agree with your assessment. What would be interesting is the backroom talks. Do they have OSU jump TCU to set up an all B1G semi-final or have Mich as 2 seed and OSU as 4 seed.

I believe that TCU has a better resume than OSU and should be the higher seed, but OSU is constantly overrated, IMO. Also the beat down OSU took vs a field goal OT loss is notable, but the committee has given a lot less respect to TCU over the initial CFP rankings.

Of course, if Purdue beats Michigan tonight, then this seeding becomes an absolute mess.

The only sure thing is Georgia as undisputed #1 seed.

I assume they want the rematch.

Think I'll wait to see how Purdue fares tonight before prognosticating the four CFP seeds.

Hurry up and give me the 12-team playoff, please.
