Need to bulk up....rs makes sense... they make the most versatile OL....and can catch a pass on specific situations...

we took Mendenhall brother as a package deal to get Rashard

Pocic brother was a 4*. LSU came along and he dumped us like a hot potato , his brother being here mattered NOTHING
Griffith son wanted nothing to do with us once ND & OSU showed interest

please name a situation where we got a "highly" rated recruit and it was even partially related to a brother or father on the team already or before

Pocics nothing like Learys though. Ethan would not have played with his brother. He was also a top 100 recruit making a decision for theoretically 4 years of college — and Illinois was coming off a 3 win season. Devin would be on team with his brother, Illini are much better now, and it is a decision for one year that gives him chance to play with and mentor his brother. Like you say, family connection might have no bearing on his decision, but situation has very little in common with Pocic.

'member most of these young men won't be in the NFL so they will need a degree from a place that will enhance future job prospects.

Also, may be wrong, college has been a while, but doesn't a student have to earn their last 30 or so hours from an institution to receive a degree from that institution?

there is interest - but I highly doubt he’s in our top 5. he may need to drop down to a G5 league. kinda sure most of his problems are a result of his own in game decision making and not the team around him .

I actually expect him to land at a Power 5.
