ironically probably the best ft shooting so far this year.
The only way to explain the fact that all of our opponents are seeming to have their best offensive games against us is piss poor defense.
Defense is about effort, and we simply don't have it and haven't had it. No fight, no passion. Not fixing that trend is on the coaches at this point.

My diagnosis is something I would usually only associate with an NBA team, but maybe its in keeping with the free agency-ish way they were constructed:

Missing Curbelo. He played with more heart than this whole group combined.
What a bunch of gutless *******. My 3-year-old daughter, who literally whines about any little thing is tougher than this Illinois team. At least when my 2-year-old boy hits her, she fights back.
So we're dominating at the foul line. We got that going for us.
Things like that tend to happen when another team smells blood.
Flat out embarrassing. Some serious issues with this team. No confidence at all on the offensive end, miscommunication on the defensive end, effort is lacking. I'm not sure what the answer is, but this team is very flawed right now.
How do you know they don't like each other? I do not believe that. They may not be mature enough to handle adversity but that doesn't mean they don't like each other. In Vegas they were all smiling.
Harris, Epps, Melendez, Dainja, and Rodgers in 2nd half. These guys will play hard every play. I can tolerate losing if we are playing with heart and all out effort, but we look like a box of wet noodles out there. No cohesion or flow whatsoever.

Probably the worst display of basketball I've ever seen an Illini team play. Totally unprepared on offense and defense, no fight or toughness. I'm really sick of our complete lack of half-court offense. Worse than watching paint dry. Not sure how much Dainja can play- he's like a plant on defense- but today- nobody has played any defense except Shannon and Sencire. Losing interest in this team- might not even make the tournament- regressing.
