time will tell if he ends up being a big contributor for us , but Iowa has a long list of guys very similar to him, from backgrounds just like him, that ended up being pretty good .

Marques Easley, '24 OL out of Kankakee, adds Georgia and OU offers on top of Bama. No clue if we have a chance, but competition will be tough

His film is one ridiculous highlight after another. Entertaining watch. Will be interesting to see how he performs against a much higher caliber of athletes in D1/P5.
He just looks like a kid who loves playing football. Interested to see how we try to use him.

Total dude alert. This is a kid that did not go to any football showcases, high school is not exactly in a football hotbed. High level baseball prospect who runs sub 6.3 60. Athleticism is real.

I'm concerned for this young man. I had a lot of friends from Spring Valley Hall in my college days and sobriety was not their strong point :)

I'm with others saying this film is promising. ALionEye says this often and I could not agree more: Late offers to kids who haven't been evaluated are way more promising than kids who have camped in plenty of places and have a number of MAC offers and 1-2 P5 offers.

and that is why having friends in the high school coaching ranks, especially in state, is so important in helping to identify these guys late in the process

Good lord. To say that kid has jets is an understatement. That is one impressive highlight video. I'd love to see him get some snaps at RB even if he is slated for Safety and KR duties- kid can fly. Hell, a wildcat triple option set a drive or two with him, IW, and Reggie Love in the backfield?

Catching up on the discussion of if there's an advantage to in-state recruits. I believe there is, because when area kids play, it generates more media coverage in their local papers. More friends and family come to watch them play. More friends and family by branded jerseys and game gear. It strengthens the kind of 'football culture' that parents pass to their kids across generations.

Illini nation is waking up. But the more it can foster strong roots at home, the more virtuous cycles flow between campus and area communities, and their economies.
