I said before the season started that Rodgers "kind of reminded me", from what little I saw of him of Nick Anderson at this stage of their respective careers. I still stand by that.
Nick Anderson was a dead eye shooter. They were about the same size with Nick a little shorter and blockier.

The ONLY similarity in their game is their inability to shoot free throws. It became obsessive in the case of Nick.

Also Nick didn't play as a freshman (grades) but he was always a great scorer.

Where do you see similarities between them other than size?

Yep CoHawk had a great offensive game today. Much more aggressive on hunting an inside game. Ty Rodgers is pretty amazing at his size with his rebounding skills. Now if we could just get CoHawk to cut down on the brain lapses He will be an NBA draftee and we will get somewhere in the NCAA’s

Yes Nick was a always a very gifted offensive player. Rodgers, at least at this time, is not good offensively. He is a beast on the boards and on defense. Let's hope he develops some offensive skills.

I missed the game today (went to TPC for free) but was glad to see that Illinois won! Just returned home and got caught up on the Postgame comments and the box score. Looks like we continued with our TO (17) and 3 point shooting (25%) issues. However, we shot 61% from 2 point range! Were there a lot of layups or did we just take good shots (can someone fill me in) ... great close range shooting!

This win capped a great day for me. The Phoenix area is the center of the sports universe this week with all kinds of parties, concerts every night, the TPC, and tomorrow the Super Bowl. An extra 650,000 visitors here this week. The Illinois win was the icing on the cake!

It was a tough gutsy win today and great to pull that one out. But I hope I'm not the only one concerned when they threw the press on the Illini, there was trouble. Iowa employed it also and it hurt. Other teams will be watching film and scouting. Team needs to work on this I hope.

I actually thought we did pretty well against the press in both games. Half of our turnovers come from lackadaisical, bone-headed, unforced errors, that make all of us want to pull our hair out.

He is considered a soph, so two more years.
But he gets a Covid year right? I mean everyone.did so that’s out the window I would guess. I mean Trent and Damontecwere here forever and Kofi never sat and could’ve stayed two more. I think Dain should have three left due to Covid. Redshirt one year and Covid year so that would mean four left counting this season, right? I mean they said he has only played 9 minutes prior to this year

It was nice to win, but those lazy passes were just killing me. Simply have to clean that up
Mcconnell is truly a hawk. He was all over those and you could tell he was hunting. I really wanted Trent to get defensive player of the year last year but every time I see McConnell play d, I get it. He's a force in that end

Nick's superior shooting/scoring definitely differentiates the two, but Nick & Ty both share rebounding prowess and springy athletic ability around the rim.
